The pickup pulled the TT ok but I never felt comfortable going down the road with a cross wind or when an 18 wheeler passes you. We bit the bullet and bought an F250. The difference is like night and day pulling. We just returned from a 700 mile trip to Florida to visit Tropical Storm Cindy, and felt very little movement from big rigs passing me. We are glad we made the upgrade.Re: Major Dad hanging it upA BIG thank you for your service to our country. It is good to have your church family for support. May GOD Bless You in your struggle with this. JESUS is our SAVIOR and will be with us thru thick and thin....Re: bathroom vent cover ZeeLet50 wrote: My vent fan had the sewer stack real close also. I did a small part circle cut into the cover to get the clearance. Does not affect the function of the cover and allows it to sit flush. it was just on the flange part. I am thinking that is what I will do. That way the cover will sit closer to the roof and there wont be much uplift when driving down the road. Thanks for your info....Re: bathroom vent coverMaxxair bathroom roof vent fan cover. I meant the exhaust fan cover. With this product, you can have the vent open while it is raining and the rainwater wont come in. Plus it protects the original cover from possible hail damage. The sewer vent is real close to the fan cover.bathroom vent coverWe recently bought a cover for our bathroom vent. According to the instructions, the cover almost sits on the roof. Well, the vent pipe is next to the exhaust fan frame and the cover wont sit close to the roof. I can make it work if it sits about 1" off the roof. Will this be a problem traveling down the road sitting that high off of the roof?Re: Tie down anchor for wind Passin Thru wrote: When I lived in Ok our neighbors mule blew by and the plow was in the ground. The only thing between there and Canada is a barb wire fence and it blew down. Never tie down our Arctic Fox. It weighs in at 9K. Great Post!!!!! sometimes it is true..... :)Re: First post, first TT, first of many stupid questions. We had some sway issues with our 27' TT with a F150 TV. Weight distribution was setup correctly by me. The dealer did not have it setup correctly. We had friction anti-sway bars and we replaced the hitch setup with a Reese dual cam. Loved it. We eventually upgraded to an F250 with more bells and whistles (backup camera). It is a totally different experience pulling now. I feel like now that I am pulling the TT instead of the TT pushing me.Re: Forest River Salem 27DBKWe haved a 27' Wildwood RKSS, pull it with a F250. The trailer pulls just fine. We like the rear kitchen because there is a lot of kitchen counter space to put the coffee pot on and to cook. The only issue that we have had, is when the floor furnace gets ready to turn off, the relay in the circuit board located in the air conditioner unit, does a lot of clicking (5-40 times)when the heater gets ready to turn off. I replaced the T-Stat, control board and the clicking still happens. I expect a few clicks but not 20 or so (dometic brand). Go ahead and buy a thick foam padding for the bed. That will make it feel like your sleeping at home. We Love our trailer......Re: Tow Advice F150 1/2 tonYou will love the Wildwood 27'RKSS. That is the same TT that we own. The large counter space is what sold us on the rear kitchen model, plus I like the space for my coffee pot.Re: Tow Advice F150 1/2 tonThat is the exact same trailer and pickup that we had. Our truck pulled the trailer fine, but was hard handling in windy conditions. We did make a trip to florida and the TT pulled fine but there was not much grade. Like others have posted, we were on the top end of our towing capacity tho. We upgraded to an F250 and there is a difference like night and day in the towing. Go ahead and upgrade, you wont regret it.... :)
