Might do it again this year, but thinking about hitting the AWRCS 100 mile race instead. I went to the ATV MX National in GA last weekend. Where are you from in MD? I grew up in Laurel and worked at a bunch of the MC shops in Balt / DC area. GNCC's?Any of you go to any of the GNCC off road races?Re: TV Rear TiresI went to max 80 because the tires were not wearing in the center as much as the outsides indicating tires needed more pressure.....plus higher air pressure gets better gas milage :)Re: Tires for tow vehiclegetting 6 new tires this week and the tire shop does a ton of dually set ups on trucks, box vans (likeI have) and people haulers. They suggested Uniroyal tires. Opinions on them?Re: Post your tow vehicle pics hereTV is a 2000 Ford Box Van that has a built in Onan generator, 40 gal Water tank and Karcher pressure washer, Air compressor with 5 gallon air tank. To tow the toy hauler I had to instal a F450 hitch with custom made brackets and cut access through the custom stainless bumper plus put on Air Bags. Hitch and air bags were done to raise the hitch 4 inches to stop occasionally dragging the tongue on pavement Re: Ford Dually pressure check? Y-Guy wrote: lumpy790 I'm going to move this post over to the Tow Vehicles forum from Toy Haulers as I think you'll receive more helpful posts in the long run. Thank you! Never even noticed a TV section before!Re: Ford Dually pressure check? stripit wrote: Have new valve stems installed on the inside wheel that protrude out and through the holes in the outside wheel. No longer a job you will hate to do, and you could even install a tire pressure monitor sender without any problems. If the tire store doesn't have the right stem, go to a truck tire store and they should have all kinds of them with the length and angle you need. The tire place I am using does a ton of Box Vans and RV's so hopefully they will have the stems your talking about. Only neg is wont be able to rotate after doing this.Ford Dually pressure check? This topic has been moved to another forum. You can read it here: 27588592Ford Dually pressure check?Ford in their infinite wisdom puts the valves facing the inside of the dually wheels so ..... how do you check the rear tire pressure? I have chrome wheel emulators making the holes in the wheels slightly smaller. I bought a angled top and bottom air gauge but still can not get to the valve I put on extensions that when 1st installed worked perfect but after the 1st tire rotation have been chasing intermittent air leaks & flat tires. Temp seems to change the stem adjustment. I am getting 6 new tires next week and thinking about dumping the extensions if I can find a way to check the pressures. Has anyone ever seen something that will eliminate the two rear tires and replace with 1 wide tire? Like tractor trailers are now doing?Re: Odd Onan issueinstead of replacing the carb ..... go to a auto parts store and pick up a couple bottles of Sea Foam and dump them in the tank and let the gen run for 10-15 min alternating on and off load (draws the fuel through different circuits) then let it set for 30 minutes (cleaning) and repeat procedure a few times. When I bought my TH it had been sitting for 2 years and Sea foam cleaned the carb out. Somehow it still ran with the old bad gas that was in the tank with a little fresh dumped in.
