Leveling can be a problem. Last time we went to Martinsville we stayed on the grounds of Jim Mills Toyota dealership. We were on pavement with a lot of nice people and other things like a guy with a BBQ wagon come through and girls selling Crispy Crème donuts. Check it out. I would stay there again if we go.Re: "sparkle? by Fuller to wash coachI use a water deionizer from Griots Garage. Wash and rinse your RV with the deionized water and walk away. No water spots. A little pricey but my back thanks me! Works great on house windows too.Re: Gas or Diesel?? which is betterWe went out west this summer with our `17 35 QBA Tiffin. On one or two long hills I could have had a diesel. Otherwise we did well. The biggest issue I noticed was access to fuel pumps. Diesel pumps were by far more accessible than gas for a large motorhome. Something to keep in mind.Re: Soon to be full timers but a question re: 6 speed gassersWe took our 2017 Tiffin Allegro 35 QBA out west this year. The 6 speed tranny did well. Would I have liked a diesel on a few long hills oh yeah. The noise in the coach was not bad at high rpm. We were not towing so I would be interested in feedback regarding this. A bigger issue for us was the ride quality of the F-53 chassis. That might be an argument for a diesel chassis.Re: Wanted a 5th wheel until we saw the Tiffin AllegroWe have a `17 35QBA Allegro. We like it. If you go that route make sure the Ford chassis has the six speed tranny, order Sumo Springs and something like the Safe-T-Plus system. The floor plan is very comfortable. As far as ride is concerned it`s an RV on a heavy duty truck chassis. Diesel chassis rides better and more power but is more expensive. Tiffin has a good owner net network. We had a Montana fifth wheel before this.Re: Gasser Extended Trip and Oil ChangesThanks for the responses. Right now we have about 1500 miles on our rig. Probably will run it for a couple of short trips before we go later in the summer and change to synthetic.Gasser Extended Trip and Oil ChangesWe have an extended trip out west this summer planned which will include about 7500 miles of driving. We have a 2017 Tiffin 35 QBA Ford gasser chassis. The Ford manual says you can go 7500 miles between oil changes without towing. I am planning an oil change to Motorcraft synthetic oil before we go. I would like to avoid having to get service during our trip. Sound good to you all?Re: Suspension improvements+1 on the Safe-T-Plus steering damper. We had that installed prior to picking up our `17 Tiffin 35 QBA. Also had Sumo Springs installed during the build at the factory. Handles pretty good so far. 24k chassis. Front end alignment is always a good idea with weighing and checking tire pressures. Sway bars and track bar so far not indicated.Re: Am I the only one here?Same problem for me. If I make an "appointment" for repairs I get the impression it is only a time slot to drop the RV off not to actually work on it. Whole different attitude regarding service appointments than my car dealer and Harley dealer. They do a good job with the repair however. If I can help it this RV will not go back to the dealer unless absolutely necessary.Re: Maxx Air Vent Covers HeightNot sure if they come standard, but will ask salesman. Thanks for that thought!
