We've owned 3 campers, and have never had this problem. Needless to say, I'm not a fan.Re: Arrogance PersonifiedI guess I didn't gather from the OP that he was upset; just that this guy was arrogant.Re: Thoughts on RoadschoolingAwesome!! We are in our second year of homeschooling our 4 children, and it's one of the best decisions we've ever made! Government schools have been broken for a long time, and it's only getting worse. I have to laugh when people talk about "those weird homeschoolers". Yes, I'm sure there are some weird ones, just as there are weird public school kids! Goodness! Anyway...I think you should go for it!Re: Arrogance PersonifiedBless his little heart. As I always tell my kids.... when you've got it, you don't need to announce it. ;)Re: They need a W9 for warranty reimbursement??? DutchmenSport wrote: This from the Turbo Tax web site. Perhaps the people that sent the check are building a case for Fraud because the first check was cashed, and not by YOU. They (perhaps) need verification of YOUR SSN, etc, thus the request for the W9. If you want your money, you're going to have to do it. W9's are a valid government document, and they can use that to verify Fraud was committed by the one who did cash the check. From Turbo Tax: You may even find yourself on the other side of the transaction if you are the one making the payments to an independent contractor. You have a responsibility to obtain the W-9 from the contractor and retain a copy of it; however, it’s not necessary to send it to the IRS. When it comes time to report all payments you make to the independent contractor on a 1099 form, you will need the information on the W-9. It’s only necessary to issue a 1099 if you pay the independent contractor $600 or more during the tax year. If you do, you must send the 1099 to the IRS as well. Thanks for your information, and for looking into this. Do I, then, need to give this information to my accountant, or is it just for their records? It's for a little over $1200.Re: They need a W9 for warranty reimbursement??? tatest wrote: If the amount is such that they need a TIN to report the payment to the IRS, why would they have sent the first check out without having the information? Exactly. This company is a joke. They need a W9 for warranty reimbursement???So...after battling for months to get reimbursed for warranty work we had done, and after finding out yesterday that they DID send us a check (except they sent it to the wrong person, and that person cashed it).....Now they're saying they need me to fill out a W9 so they can send me a check. What??? Is this normal? I officially hate Keystone and their lack of customer service.Re: Windows falling out of Fuzion 404 ksss wrote: I say this hoping that I wont have any more unexplainable broken windows. I like the frameless windows and I like the way they open. Granted this weekend we camped at 7500 feet and it was 38 degrees outside at night, but the cross ventilation is just fine with these windows for us. However if the windows make a habit of shattering for no reason, disregard this post. Yes, well....I'm sending my husband with duct tape and cardboard for this weekend's visit to Oklahoma, just in case. :)Re: Windows falling out of Fuzion 404 Steve76eb wrote: broccoli2 wrote: Oh, Boy, Oh and the wood decretive trim on top of both the slides in the main living/kitchen feel down (at different times) Just found the big center chunk of trim laying on top of the island counter when we got home this weekend. The little trim nails were barely long enough to go through the both pieces of trim to the wood framing underneath. I reattached it like the bedroom one with screws, so if the LED strip behind it goes out and I choose to replace it, I will have access to do it. The bedroom one has screws holding it up, so you can have access to the slide motor should you ever have to manually retract that slide. On this weeks trip we also had mice running around inside at night, so I took the time to seal up all the gaps between the frame and the coroplast. Lots of gaps around the spring hangers and where the coroplast ends at the fuel tanks. Once they get in the underbelly they just made their way to the basement where there is a huge hole in the floor for a couple water lines and the push/pull cables for the gray and black tanks. Once inside there it was easy to fit through the wooden grate/vent next to the fireplace that hides some access to the heater. On the plus side I did find there is a wireless Samsung subwoofer hidden in the basement behind the fireplace. Don't know if it works or not, but it is there. Mice?? Oh, my.. If we end up with mice in ours, I won't be so nice to this company. ugh.Re: Windows falling out of Fuzion 404 Ric Flair wrote: CHBurris wrote: ...Hmmm...you know, I mentioned to my husband that it didn't look like the slide was going out all the way.... 1. We are never wrong 2. See #1 It pisses me off to see the factory not take responsibility for something that is clearly poor design/workmanship and it's not even my trailer. Don't they understand how much bad will that generates for their brand? Ha! I'll try to remember that. :) I'm so disappointed, as well, not only with how we've been treated (ignored) by Keystone, but now with our dealer, as well. We called them last week to see about ordering a window, so my husband could install it himself. I thought possibly they'd give us a decent deal, maybe free shipping even. Nope. They wanted $225 for the window, and $100 to ship. No, thank you. We're going to have a dealer (non-Keystone)that is closer to us order it and install.
