I know these are a nice rig, glad you've been please with yours. We do want the twin beds in the sleep area and the cab over sleep space too, don't see that offered in PC. The Winnebago View 24V has the configuration that works for us. The twins open up the space more IMO, and can switch it to a king size. That 3/4 bed in the back seems tight. Thanks for sharing, appreciate the discussion, AleharRe: Navion or View what's the Difference?PghBob, thanks also for contributing. Yes the $$$ to maintain a diesel plus fuel sources vs. gas are reasons we leaned toward the Ford or Chevy chassis. (We can repair American made easier) Also clear on the GCWR & GVWR considerations. Its always a compromise :-) thanks. aleharRe: Navion or View what's the Difference?Flarpswitch, great feedback of MB vs. Ford chassis. Interesting as our pick for a RT is also the 200 Popular with the wide body. I've come to learn RT's are very well made and ease to maneuver in parking spaces etc. But I now view it as a touring vehicle rather than room to live in and enjoy once at destination. I googled your rig, very nice. Do you break down the table for a bed or use the cab over area? Just the extra sf for true shower/toilet and floor space appealing. Also sits higher off the ground than RT. Thinking the upside to MB is the diesel will out last gas. aleharRe: Navion or View what's the Difference?Thank you all for clarifying this for me. We really like the Winnebago View and probably better choice given the Itasca phase out. Only concern is the MB chassis, prefer the Ford as on some of the larger models. Easier to work on and less $$ for repairs. I've read its a more powerful setup for the smaller rig. Any comments with regards to this difference. Great group, appreciate your help and sharing. AleharNavion or View what's the Difference?Considering this size RV over the Class B Roadtrek for the extra space it offers. Not clear what's the difference between the two. Both same design floorplans, finishes, and price. Am I correct that Itasca is a division of Winnebago? Aren't both of these models made by Winnebago? Also interested of input from owners of either models. Thanks, aleharRe: Can I Pick Your Brains About Smaller Class C's?Ron, thank you for the very informative overview of Class C models. My question, since the best Class C recommended feature is a solid fiberglass body to eliminate seams and potential leaks, what can one look for if deciding on an entry price class A model. The option of one fiberglass shell doesn't exist. What about the seams on their construction and water issues? Thanks TrishRe: Class "C "or Class "A" for Maine,NH,VT's bad roads? In response to JeffCarp who traveled Vt & NH without noticing any difficulties. I'll give that a go for the Born Free model Class C to its quality, good to know. In my post I'm also giving attention to the narrow back/side roads found all over New England as there aren't lots of I 95 concrete level roads to travel on. Seems in the summer months in Maine we will have oncoming Class A's that look as if they will topple over with the middle crown in roads and drop towards the soft shoulders. Just doesn't look stable. But its probably more the make/model than Class. Thanks for all replys.Class "C "or Class "A" for Maine,NH,VT's bad roads?Yes, we are considering a Class C motorhome but I read a poster describe that on the poor roads it was a horrible ride and they upgraded. none to soon, to a Class A motorcoach which provided a much better ride and handling. I would have thought it to be just the opposite as the truck body for most Class C's could handle the terrain much better. Where a Class A would lean terrible on the crown's our roads here in New England have due to frost heaves from our winters and all the potholes. In warmer climates such as Florida with your great level non winter beaten roads either style wouldn't present such an issue. Appreciate your input. Thanks.
