I have limo tint all around. some days we actually put towels over windows, with clips to limit even more. I have a floor fan in the bunkroom.it works for us, hottest inside temps 77, but at night ,after sun goes down, it will freeze you out, my wife and kids sleep with quilts. once again , works for us... good luck.Re: Trailer Tires 4X4Dodger wrote: knort001 wrote: MAXXIS... and run from westlake, goodyear marathon china bombs ,,,just my humble ,little been there ,opinion.. Maxxis makes their tires overseas also in Asia and possibly in China but the company wont confirm this for me. Many of the big tire manufacturers manufacture in Asia and China. There is absolutely no correlation between where a product is made and it's performance. What counts is the Manufacturers specing, quality control and design. All products will have occasional bad apples slip thru the process even those made here in the USA. I have a set of Goodyears on my trailer that were there when I bought it used. The tread is good and the tires are in good shape. I just finished a 4600 mile trip with ZERO tire problems. Inflation never varied (I checked it before leaving at each overnight stop). These tires have been from Chicago to Minot and now to Wyoming down into Colorado over the 11 thousand foot Loveland pass to Utahs natl parks on gravel dirt and every type of asphalt road you can imagine. NO PROBLEMS. Get good tires from a quality manufacturer spec'ed for your rig and if possible exceed the ratings for your weight and speed. Then KEEP THEM INFLATED TO THE MAXIMUM COLD PSI. Your chances of tire issues will be greatly reduced or non exist ant. agree with all you said, most importantly, inflation, weights, speed,. My experience was with marathon, and westlake made in china, . westlake was a spare e rated that fell apart in 2oo miles as a covered new spare, and marathons , 2 in 1 trip, with about 3000 miles on them. My maxxis 8008 e rated st tires have about 4000 miles on them, in similar terrain as you, but mostly in the heat of florida. , and as stated they were made in thailand,. but all brands certainly have qc issues, wherever made....Re: Trailer TiresMAXXIS... and run from westlake, goodyear marathon china bombs ,,,just my humble ,little been there ,opinion..Re: Disaster with Windjammer 2715 vsGlad you are both ok. Westlake is the worse, company did not stand behing there product, nor did goodyear where I bought it . This was a spare bought less than 7 mos ago. , Used it as a spare , it blew in less than 200 miles....Re: First RV Purchasegreat people and knowledge on this site. welcome. you will learn alot here.buying used could depend on how handy you are...either way it will be fun..Re: wheel bearing grease seal ?thanx for the responses/help. ya"ll confirmed what i thought. put in a new seal yesterday, using the 2x4 trick.....thanx againwheel bearing grease seal ?So when I finished new bearings, and grease, and tapped on the grease seal , one side went in just farther than the other., just on one wheel. Should I knock this seal out and replace it perfectly? , or its ok? Spun the wheel and tire after placing everything on, didnt see any issue, but have not road tested yet....thanx,good vs bad raptor?coming from travel trailers. like the raptor 31 ds thtt.tired of loading the golfcart into the pickup. with that said, are all raptors problem prone ? read about some bad ones here. how about some that have not had trouble, or very little.thanx in advance.Re: Bearings vs grease? phillyg wrote: I'd just replace the one bearing set and seal on the axle that was running hot. thanx, couple people said the same.... not like a boat trailer backing in water, hot, all the time...
