Wa8yxm, (I am originally from the suburbs of Detroit) House Batteries are 3 months old & are reading plenty of voltage. The reason I was wanting to set it to Auto was that with my old motorhome, the power had gone out & I didn't realize I wasn't charging the batteries so I thought having the generator detect low voltage would be a good back up plan.Re: Onan Energy Command 30 Auto Starts when plugged inenblethen, thanks for your reply. Yes, I have check battery voltage. Even if it was low, I would think that being connected to Shore Power would overide the generator from starting? It is detecting Shore AC power. I ran the test through the Energy Command 30 and it shows it is working.Onan Energy Command 30 Auto Starts when plugged in2008 Winnebago Itasca Horizon 40 KD 8,000-Watt Onan Quiet Diesel Onan Energy Command 30 Auto Starts even when connected to Shore Power. Onan Energy Command 30 Information Safety is set to Ignition HVAC Run Request tested fine with Basement A/C. Tested for Shore AC power and it shows it is working. When plugged into 50 Amps and the Onan Energy Command 30 is set to Auto Start it starts up the generator when the A/C Thermostat is turned on. Temperature inside is 97 Degrees, outside temp is 113 degrees. When the Onan Energy Command 30 is set to Maunal, the A/C kicks on using Shore Power. I checked all the breakers & they are on & seem tight. I tried to search online & have read everything I could find remotely related. I tried to provide all the information that I thought you might need, but if I left something out, please let me know. Any help is appreciated.Re: FM Radio Static while using generatorBetter late than never, I can't tell you all how grateful I am for all the suggestions & guidance.Re: FM Radio Static while using generatorYesterday I installed a resistor plug which took care of the problem. I would like to thank everyone who took the time to help out. Much appreciated.Re: FM Radio Static while using generatorGdetrailer, I suspected it wasn't a resistor plug either. You did much better than I did looking for cross references. As inexpensive as plugs are, I think it makes sense to change it out & try that. I maybe showing my age when I thought Jensen was a quality unit..... There is an antenna on the roof of the trailer. (2 actually, the other is for the TV) It sounds fine when running on battery power even when remote camping and also when plugged into the house. I am picking up the trailer in 1 week for an upcoming trip so I will run the tests outlined above. In the meantime, I'll swap the plug out on the generator. Thanks for all the help!Re: FM Radio Static while using generatorMEXICOANDERER???????Re: FM Radio Static while using generatorOk, I removed the spark plug but can't seem to find any information on it. The manual doesn't even identify which plug they recommend. The information on the plug is LG NANDI F6TC 27100 I can't even find a LG cross reference chart. Since it doesn't have an "R" in the model number, I am guessing it isn't a resitor plug?Re: FM Radio Static while using generatorGdetrailer, it never occurred to me to run my truck radio while the generator is running. I will check that also. The radio is a Jensen & looks like a quality unit, but who knows? How does one "turn off the converter"? Do I just turn off the main shut off switch that is mounted on the trailer in my cargo space or would it actually be found on the converter unit itself? Thanks for your input.Re: FM Radio Static while using generatorhorton333, that never occurred to me, but makes sense. I will be picking up the trailer next week & will run the generator without it powering the trailer to see if the static is there or not. Thanks for that suggestion!
