Great timeEver Leave your Rig, Fly Home & Return to Traveling? Our first Grandbaby is coming 2 months before we planned to leave for full timing Spring 2015 We want the best of both worlds, so my idea is to go on our trip, travel until we want or need to go home. Then find a place to park and store the rig, drive to airport, park the Toad, fly to Grandchild’s. Stay a month or so (we will have our house to stay in )and fly back to the rig and continue our exploring travels. We will keep a car at our sons so we have something to drive in while visiting the new baby. I thought maybe we could do this on a regular basis. Park the rig, drive our car to airport. We do have a budget, but I thought (without yet doing the math)this may be close to the same expense as driving back home each time. Anyone out there do this? Have you discovered problems? Is it just too costly? Does it only save time but not money? Thanks Oliver2006 Class A Gas 33' Ford Thinking of PurchasingI know I found a well maintained Class A that I am considering purchasing. This is a 2006 Damon Daybreak; gas, 33' Ford engine. GCWR 22K and I want to flat tow a 3200lb Honda. My real question is: what can I expect if I want to travel out west considering the high altitudes, steep grades and decents I have read about? My budget is my top prioity and next is my safety and piece of mind. I welcome any responses but I dont have a magic wand to buy the "right rig". Thanks Oliver I am not sure how I will recieve my responses, but if you want to send directyly to my email that works for me: oliverquibble@gmail.comRe: Going to build a new houseQuestions and Answers Answers: Citrus County, FL, both my neighbors have separte garages for their Class A's. One is a double garage that holds two 40' Class A. The second has a 1 1/2 garage. Both were built at a minimum cost on their acre lot. I live between them and I am interested in selling my home. It sits on an acre that is not deed restricted so you can store your RV, boat, build a pool etc. The land is part of a community that is deed restricted and you are permitted to join the new 5-star country club. If you are interested in my house I can send pics. The neighborhood is beautiful My house was built in 2006 3/2/2 and meets all hurricane codes. Question: Where should I advertise my home? Because you are looking I guess you have your favorite places to look.
