Ampmeter showed the fan drawing 2-3 amps then dropped to zero when the unit shut down (no high draw from compressor starting). So I went up and double checked everything and re-seated some of the spade terminals - to include the one from the compressor relay. Fired it up expecting to do more testing but it's now working. I believe it was a bad connection at the compressor relay on the control board. Thanks!Duo Therm heat pump (AC) fan runs but shuts offLooking for any help. Our AC fan comes on but everything goes off once the compressor attempts to start (I think). I can set it on fan only and it will run all day. Setting the unit to cool will run the fan for a few minutes then everything shuts off. It will continue to cycle every few minutes the same. Oddly we have had this issue before and it went away. We've noticed that each time it has acted up, the weather has been rainy. For good measure, yesterday I replaced the start kit (Cap and PCTR). No change. I'm not convinced yet that the compressor is bad since it has done this before but ran fine later on a dry day. Have not put my ohm meter on it yet. Any thoughts as to what I can look at?Re: Onan HGJAB 7KW - Remote switch issueI confirmed that I have 12v at the remote switch (blue wire) when the gen is running. I am convinced it's the bulb. Have a trip planned so will replace either the bulb or the switch when I return. Thanks everyone for the info.Re: Onan HGJAB 7KW - Remote switch issueMEX - Starting the gen from the switch on the gen does not light the run light on the remote switch and the hour meter clicks but does not register time. The run light is functioning on the gen switch outside though. YC 1 - Thanks for the link. I will investigate the bulb and connections. I did already re-seat the remote harness at the gen with no success.Re: Onan HGJAB 7KW - Remote switch issueI believe it is a Carling switch. Are the bulbs replaceable?Onan HGJAB 7KW - Remote switch issueI am having a strange issue with the remote start switch on our Onan HGJAB 7KW. The switch functions just fine, I can prime and start / stop no issues. The issue is that the run light never comes on and I recently noticed the hour meter is not working. The hour meter is clicking like it is getting power and attempting to tick off the time but the meter is not moving. I'm thinking the hour meter issue is unrelated and simply broken. Any thoughts on the light not working on the remote switch? Thanks!Re: Propane tanks in truck camperA welding gas supply may also be able to re-certify the tank. I had one done but it was your normal everyday propane tank.Re: Mixed Reviews Of GSRA ProvidersTo slightly change the subject here ... I too have a Demco Kar Kaddy and seem to be plagued with blowouts. Exactly like your experience, I lost two tires on the same trip when we first purchased the used dolly in December of 2012. This was my fault for rolling with aged tires. In our last two trips, we lost one tire each plus the fenders - again. Do these tires only last 2 years? When not in use, it's stored in my garage out of the weather. Anyone switch to a higher load range tire? I am really thinking I want to get rid of the dolly and move to a 4-down toad. I'm currently hauling a Nissan Murano (FWD) with the dolly and I don't think it's overloaded. The dolly is rated for 4700 lbs. The car is approx 3800.Re: Lost hub capI just replaced one on a 22.5 Alcoa wheel. Here's the place. http://www.phoenixusa.com/Re: rv resortWe stayed the weekend here and really enjoyed it. We were in site 13 facing the beach. There are lots of things for kids to do. It's a very short drive or walk across the street to the beach. The park was clean and the staff very helpful. Nice landscaping. Only 11 miles into Galveston for restaurants, etc. There are some tight turns around the office but taking these a little wide was no issue. Only one negative. The park's septic treatment system is on the end of the row we were on. While we did not smell it much at our site, walking the dog one site over, I was blasted with the horrible smell. The campsite on the end basically has the sewer system right in front of the site. AVOID SITES 11 and 12!
