All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: 2013 Denali 287RE Problems!!!!This is something a friend of mine did 10-15 yrs. ago after he had tried everything he could to rectify many problems with a new car (American made)he had purchased from a dealer. He visited a sign shop and had two magnetic signs made that read: This Lemon was purchased from xxxxxx Chevrolet/Cadillac. He placed them on each side of the car and drove it for a few days around town and the dealership. He then parked it in the dealers lot while he spent a few hours there supposedly looking at other vehicles. Within one week they had bought his lemon back and made him a heck of a deal on another car.Relocating vent fan switchThe switch for the bathroom vent fan is located up inside the ceiling vent. Being vertically challenged, my wife cannot reach it. How can I put a switch on the wall and, how would you conceal the wiring?Re: I'm a worry wart these days I guess....Something we have done since the first 2-3 times we were on the road is to slow down and enjoy. Nowdays there doesn't seem to be a rest area we don't like. While DW goes to the facilities I take a leisurely walk around the unit looking at the hitch, tires, doors, truck tires, etc. When she comes back she does a visual herself. This reassures both of us on a steady basis. Slowing down on speed is a big help. Have found that driving too fast causes me to be tensed up all the time and my DW to be on the edge also. It's only natural to be concerned when kids are involved. Isn't that what our job is as parents?Re: Help Shopping: Half ton5 pages about what tragusa3 needs in a truck and no definitive answer. 3/4, 1/2, dually, gas, diesel, ecoboost, no ecoboost, etc. etc. I know this won't score many points with many of you, but maybe tragusa3 should test drive a Tundra. IMHORe: True LT tire ?????Beercan: What are your complaints against this tire?True LT tire ?????I would like to know if anyone has or had the Michelin LTX M/S2 tires, what your opinions are and if they are indeed LT tires. They will be replacements for my P275 OEM Michelin's that came on my Tundra. Below is a paragrah from the Michelin web site stating they are. The Michelin LTX M/S2: The tire’s internal structure includes twin steel belts (three steel belts in Load Range D and Load Range E sizes) to provide the strength and durability needed to handle heavy loads.Re: Anyone go from a Motorhome back to a TT?I read a lot of posts that point out that all they have to do is turn the key on their MH and their gone. What they didn't say is that they have to unhook utilities just like everyone else, get their toad hooked up, etc. And, unless they have a car dolly, they must unhook the toad before they are able to back up less they demolish the toad hitch. We had a MH and it is not as simple as 1,2,3. While the TT people are busy leveling their camper and letting down their stabalizers, if the MH people are not in a pull through site, they are in the street unhooking and moving their toad and then getting the MH in place. Not that much difference.Re: Headed to the Bighorns!Since you are going to Burgess Junction, I think you have already made the choice in Rt. 14. If you were not going to BJ, then I would go from Buffalo. Anyone from the Buffalo, Sheridan area would be appreciated if they put in their two cents.Re: Headed to the Bighorns!I have been over the Bighorns. Route 14 out of Sheridan IS NOT the way to go with an RV. It is very steep going up and even worse going down through Shell canyon on the west side. Route 16 out of Buffalo would be my choice. Still steep but not nearly as much as Rt. 14. A further drive getting into Cody but worth every bit of it. Since you are in the area, the short drive up I90 from northern Wyoming to Custer battle field. It is one of the best side trips we ever took. Tell you kids about it before you go and they will appreciate it more. I don't know if it was mentioned but Mount Rushmore is a must see. At the bottom of the mountain there is a town called Keystone that you and the kids will love. There is nothing like South Dakota,Mont., and Wyoming. You will go back.Re: Introduction, plus a levelling jack questionThe jacks you call leveling jacks are not that at all. They are for stabalizing only. For leveling, cut yourself some pieces of 2x6 or 2x8 lumber and use them under your tires on one side. Better yet, buy the plastic blocks that you can put together and make any size you need. You can get them at any RV store, Walmart, etc. If you place two of the sticky levels on you camper, one on the front corner and one on the front side corner, you will quickly learn how much block you will need to get the unit pretty level.
