Went and set up for the night and there is a smell of propane coming from the vicinity of the regulator between the tanks. Did the tanks get overfilled or perhaps they spilled? Heat and water heater are on and working fine. The smell is pretty faint and outside only so I doubt anything bad would happen but it does concern me. Checked the connections to the tanks and they seem fine - I have not tested with soap bubbles yet. Any ideas and should i be concerned? Thanks!Re: 2013 shadow cruiser poor quality customer serviceSounds like a dealer problem - how do they keep your trailer for 4 weeks and not inform you ahead of time that you warranty is expiring? The issues you mentioned should not take 4 weeks to fix. I also see this is your very first post ever? If you do not respond one can only assume you were laid off by Cruiser. We have a 2013 280QBS and have only had minor issues fixed by dealer with no hassles. The equipment, decor, weight, layout, etc.are hard to beat for the price point. We have had no issues with axles, leaks, or anything else major. After reading all of the bad comments about the Cruiser products it appears to be about the same 5 people posting over and over. Please respond and post pictures.Re: quad bunk with outdoor kitchenSecond on the Shadow Cruiser 280QBS. I searched forever for a lightweight rig with quad bunks. The other nice thing is that the room is completely seperate - makes the kids changing clothes much easier. Also, the 4th bunk is actually a table with 2 benches that converts to a bunk - perfect for kids board games, etc. The outdoor kitchen and bumper grill setup is awesome - never thought I would make much use of it but this is where the majority of cooking takes place. Only 5,400 lbs dry and 32 ft should be fine with an F-150.Re: Best bunkhouse under 30ftThird for Shadow Cruiser. Looked high and low for the perfect plan at minimal weight and ended on the 280QBS. 4 bunks - one is a small table and 2 seats that converts into a bed. Perfect for playing games. Seperate solid door seperates kids room. Outdoor kitchen - never thought much of it during purchasing but would not have another trailer without it. The bumper grill is very convenient and swings over to the kitchen. If you can tow more any of the 30' quad bunks are decent options. I tow with an Infiniti QX56 just fine. In a t case I would absolutely get one that has a seperate room for the kids with a solid door that goes top to bottom (Forest River uses short doors).Bliss Firefly laser lightJust a heads up - I bought the Bliss Lights Firefly laser projector to use for Christmas. I figured it might be cool to bring along camping to illuminate the camper, trees, etc. much easier than hanging anything from the awning etc. Last few trips we had had it shining in the trees and had numerous people walk onto the campsite and ask "how do you do that" and "what is that". One person thought we had a huge swarm of lightning bugs on our campsite. I was going to post about it here but time flies.... Everyone wanted to know where to buy one.... These things are SERIOUSLY cool - easy to set up (110 extension cord, single stake). The way the green one lights up a tree is truly mesmerizing. Perfect to sit by the fire and what the "fireflies" dance on the trees. These things are not cheap but lo and behold they are on super sale today on QVC. I already have the green but added red to use for Christmas and another one in blue for the camper. Also, they are extremely well built - like a tank. Check them out on QVC or their website.Bumper not squareI am concerned about the bumper on my Shadow Cruiser 280QBS. One side sticks out about 1 inch further from the back of the camper. How can I tell if the bumper was just cut wrong or if the frame is fine but the entire box is not square? Is this a common problem? Anything else to be worried about?Re: Truck or SUV recommendationsTry an Infiniti QX56 - I am pulling s similar size and weight and it pulls great. Wide stance and hydraulic body roll control make it rock solid.Re: 2013 Cruiser RV RadianceJust bought a Shadow Cruiser 280QBS. Love the floorplan with a completely seperate room for the kids while still being lightweight and only 32". Quality seems good - water pump is quiter than most, unified control panel instad of 8 mismatched switches, reading lights next to bed, outdoor kitchen and bumper mount grill are awesone. The ceilings are low in the Shadow Cruiser and my fresh water tank is not drawing all of the water (1/3 tank left but blows air). Dealer is fixing next week. Other than that I love the style and decor but especially the floorplan. Most Cruiser RV owners seem happy - check out the Fun Finder forums and they may be able to give more feedback. I have a real hard time telling any difference between any of the Cruiser product lines - not sure what their strategy is.
