Old brochures don't list one as even being an option. Anybody know of a reason that it can't be done? ThanksRe: Tork lift outside arms compatibilityI took the good advice here and called Tork Lift. Folks were very helpful. It sounded pretty iffy on the fit......straight vs. curved so I'm going to order from them for a grand total of 32.00 more (total) over the price on Craigslist. If anybody's in the market, there is a set of arms for sale on the Portland, Or Craigslist. Thanks for all the help.Tork lift outside arms compatibilityI sold my Tork Lift tie-down arms with an old camper but still have the brackets installed on my 2005 F-250. I have an opportunity to buy a set of arms off of that the owner says fit on his 2004 Dodge 2500 and also 2001 F250 Superduty. Sounds likely to fit to me. Can anybody confirm or deny this?? Thanks Using square tube made in my shop arms right now and not too proud of them....Re: Carrying stuff on the roof Buzzcut1 wrote: if you use a yakima or thule rack and cargo box system on the roof you will not have any securement or roof damage issues to deal with. I have driven 5000 miles with the thule cargo box and close to 3000 miles with my kayaks on the roof rack system. Are you referring to using the factory roof rack system as a base or something else? I'm a little leery of the strength of the OEM ones. Maybe for no reason.Re: 19.5 Tires or Not?? snoboy wrote: dedub wrote: snoboy wrote: I switched back after 7 years on 19.5s. I recently swithched to 18" V-tec wheels rated at 3650lbs and 285/75/18 Toyo tires rated at 4080 lbs. My truck rides so much better and is so much quieter. My new wheels which are also made by Vision safely give me 7300 lbs of axel rating. My tires are safe up to 8100 lbs per axel. They are half the price and my truck is much more enjoyable to drive. Those 19.5s beat the ball joints and tie rods to the point of replacement. My truck carries my Northern Lite camper wonderfully with the new wheel tire setup. I wont go back to 19.5s and I dont miss them. If I were to get a larger slide out style camper I'd make my truck a dually first. I'd be interested in the model and purchase location of those wheels. Sounds like a good way to go................. I purchased my wheels and tires at Les Schwab right down the street, so easy warranty resolution, free flat repair, rotations etc. http://toyotires.com/tire/pattern/open-country-at-ii-on-off-road-all-terrain-tires http://www.visionwheel.com/wheel.cfm?id=702 Thanks, my bro-in law runs the Enumclaw store but it's a hike to shop there for me. Got a couple local stores though.Re: 19.5 Tires or Not?? snoboy wrote: I switched back after 7 years on 19.5s. Not knowing when dry camping leaves you open to lots of guesswork.Monitoring battery capacityWhat is available to get a true read on battery state. Running 2-GC2 batteries. The monitor panel isn't real helpful at showing condition with a green, yellow and red light. Don't want to pull them down too far but I want to know what is truly available. I know this has probably been covered too but how far should you pull them down without damaging them? ThanksSwapping tiresI need to swap tires around on my 5er. Can you jack under the U-bolts one-by-one and get away with it or is it bad JuJu?
