The weight, size, and wants that you expressed seem to all be covered with this camper unless you really want a slide. It would pull well behind the Armada I think. MSRP is listed as $21,900, but, you should be able to get it for 18-19K. We have been weighing the pros and cons of a slide. They add so much weight, but the added floor space in nice. We've been throwing around the idea of a murphy bed the last week or so. How do you like yours? In my advanced age of late 30's I've gotten to be a princess and the pea with camping mattress comfort haha. I recently came across this just archived Jayco floor plan, the 24BHM and I've become a bit obsessed with it. Unfortunately, it looks like it was a one and done and it already archived. We have had 4 Travel trailers in the last 10 years. We had a jayco just like your starcraft. Then we went to a 27 ft bunkhouse with dinette slide, more maintenace and worries about leaks then I wanted. We went bak down to an 18 foot bunkhouse with permanent front bed, too small. We saw this murphy bed model and It was perfect. The murphy folds right up and has a full size queen mattress, not rv short queen. You can put a 5” memory foam topper and still have bedding and pillows and it still folds up. I love it because you can have a nice couch to watch tv on during the day. I am late 40’s and wife early 40’s andvwe fo appreciate having a full walk around queen at night! https://www.jayco.com/tools/archive/2019-jay-feather/24bhm/ Re: TT Upgrade Suggestions: TV: 2019 Nissan ArmadaWe bought a Passport 239ML SL SERIES earlier this summer for our family of 4 of which two are teens and not little anymore! They are not and will not be solid like the laminated sidewalls. I have had two Keystone Passport travel trailers (2017 and now a 2019) and I agree with the statement above. The heat does make them bulge a little at times. So far, both have been solid travel trailers with minimal issues compared to other brands I have owned.Re: MPG and RPM Question for Chevy truck-New RVersWe just sold our 2017 2500 Silverado HD. It is windy here in Iowa quite often and it was normal for us to get 6 to 7 mpg while towing at 65-70 mph. That was with a 6500 lb trailer and a 4500 lb trailer. The 6.0l engine with the 4.10 gears pulled well, but, it uses the gas!Re: Still getting "Check trailer wiring" message 2014 SilveradoGood luck with this. I did many of things that you have done including replacing the plug from the trailer with the recommended one, took the new trailer to the dealer twice, took the new Chevy truck to the dealer twice, and after all that, I still received the message. I sold the truck and bought a Ford, it doesn't do it anymore!Re: new to the TT worldI always travel with full tanks and have similar CCC as you - 1200lbs. It is much easier to fill at home with water and have the use of it on the way and know that it is from a good source. I would not worry about a change in MPG, you will probably get 8-10 mpg towing as most do.Re: Single or Double Axle?I had a small 17 foot trailer that I traded for a dual axle 28 foot trailer and then last year traded back to a single axle 175BH. I prefer smaller trailers as there are many more spots available when I reserve them. I have not had any blow outs or bearing failures on either, so I cannot comment on that, but, I do put tires at Max PSI EVERY trip and do bearing repack EVERY year. I hope I never have those problems. I did have a flat on a pop-up years ago, but, I changed it on the side of the road and moved on for the day. I almost always use a WD hitch and ride/handling has been about the same. Without WD the single axle trailers do feel much more bouncy.Re: Hitch HotelI like it. It would never replace our travel trailer, but, I could see using it for a quick fishing trip. My 25 year old daughter would love it on the back of her Jeep Liberty.Re: Check trailer wiring message 2014 SilveradoMy 2017 Silverado is doing the same thing. It is very random. I can go for an hour and it won't give me the warning, then it will do it 2 or 3 times the next hour. I have done some Google searches and all seem to lead me to replacing the plug on the camper with the GM recommended plug. My 2015 Sportsman TT did not cause this problem with my truck, but, my new Passport TT has caused this warning since the day I got it. I had the trailer checked out and they found no shorts in brakes or anywhere. Leads me to believe that I should indeed change the trailer plug. I am going to do that soon, because the warning gets annoying on longer trips!Re: Why would Keystone remove egress windows from newer models? We have a 2018 Keystone Passport 175BH. It has a small door for escape on the bottom bunk and an egress window for the top bunk and an egress window by the front queen bed. So, a total of 4 ways to escape in this small trailer. I would also be very disappointed if I discovered after the fact that there was no egress window in the bunk area.
