So, in the category of “strange things happen “, I pushed the inside button to start my generator this morning (we’re camping in a state park) and it started right up. Do I still have a problem?Re: Generator won’t startSorry, I didn’t try to start the generator from the unit itself. I was trying to explain the problem. The issue is that when I try to start the generator from inside The RV buy pushing the button on the panel it causes all of the power to quit. All the lights go off, fridge stops working, radio goes dead. I can the start everything by turning on the truck engin. I can also start the generator.Re: Generator won’t startThe generator starts when I push the start button on the generator but not the inside switch. When I push the inside switch all the power goes out.Generator won’t startAll batteries are fully charged. When I push the generator start button all of the power goes off. I can start the generator after I start the truck and everything seems to work well. When I turn it off everything continues to work. Is this a simple fix?Re: Gas light on fridgeProblem solved. It was a tale of two outlets. I had tripped a GFI on an outlet when I was power washing the unit. Since it wasn't the outlet I had plugged into but one connected to it I didn't realize it had tripped. No power was going into the RV. If I hadn't checked the outlet as Doug suggested, I'd still be pulling what little hair I have out. It's always the simple things. Thanks to all for your contributions.Re: Gas light on fridgeAm I totally off base? Is the Gas light supposed to be on all the time? Am I forgetting? Anyway, it's a Norcold N611 and I have it set to Auto. Thanks for all the help. It's been 9 months since I last used the RV and I seem to forget more these days.Re: Gas light on fridgeOkay, sorry for not being more clear AND for calling my Norcold a Dometic. The fridge is a Norcold. The fridge is running well now on propane even though it is plugged into shore power. I checked the fuse which is okay. I don't see a GFI. Both the inside light and the control panel lights are on.Gas light on fridgeJust turned on the refrigerator (Dometic) prior to hitting the road this weekend. The RV is plugged in to shore power and everything is running but the gas light is lit on the fridge. Problem? I'd rather use electric than propane.Re: Winterizing - getting tires off the groundThanks guys. These are great answers and will save me a few $$.
