I found that the inside adjustment plate had slipped and needed to be raised, the slide now operates smoothly. The platform is level and travels in and out without the "Pivot" effect, it now looks like a solid unit as it moves. Happy camping to all.Dinette slide out problemHi all, anyone have ideas on this one, any slide out experts? The dinette slide out seems to "pivot" on the top of the dinette seat when extending or retracting. This causes the two bottom side edges to separate from the side wall. When this happens the side wall cannot return to the inside of the edge angle piece and it rips trying to. Also the top seal of the slide has about a 1/2" gap when the slide is extended. It seems to me there are some missing screws along the vertical line where the dinette seat backs are attached. (?) The coach is a 2004 Gulf Stream 5230, it has a raised floor slide with a single gear driven slide mechanism mounted under the center of the dinette, a roller on either side, at the outer wall of the coach. Any advice is appreciated.Re: Inverter and battery chargingThanks Sam, I may rethink things, not sure right now because I was looking for experiences of folks that may have tried what I'm looking to do and what I'm finding out is there aren't many, if any at all. I appreciate your input. Also, Thanks YosemiteBobrRe: Inverter and battery chargingThat's fine, but do you have any thoughts on my initial question here: Gene_M wrote: I'm interested in installing an inverter to power my refrigerator while driving. I have 1 deep cycle battery installed, so I know I don't have large capacity, about 70ah expected from the battery. With a 130a alternator would there be enough juice to keep the house battery charged while running the inverter? Thinking about a 1000 watt pure sine wave inverter to power other small things as well when at the campsite or for an overnight with no hookup. Thanks in advance Re: Inverter and battery chargingI understand what you say, up to now we have traveled with it on but recently questioned it. Then we read a few articles that exacerbated our feelings so I guess now we're a bit apprehensive about traveling on interstates and through tunnels with the propane on. We're just not sure about it. And a few professional reasons: As an engineer I understand that all systems, no matter the design, can fail, and as Murphy's law dictates - at the most inopportune time. As an EE I feel more comfortable with electricity than fire. And a backup system is not a bad idea anyway.Re: Inverter and battery chargingIt does have propane fridge, I would like to travel with the propane off.Re: Inverter usage while underway.Re: Inverter and battery chargingGreetings, I just found this thread, I was over on the Class A side but have a Class C. I'm interested in installing an inverter to power my refrigerator while driving. I have 1 deep cycle battery installed, so I know I don't have large capacity, about 70ah expected from the battery. I have said this before, I appreciate all the info I get here and will make my own informed decision. I do not speak to others in the tone the moderator took with me and I fully expect an apology from him. That's no way to treat someone you don't even know and I will have no respect for him until such time as an apology is posted here.
