Yes this is frustrating but at least the is CW is stepping up to the plate to make things right.Re: Crack at DeLam Fix - What to Do?Yeah, I have a call and email into CW to discuss. There is structural member on the other side of the refrigerator between the living quarters and the garage but don't think that is the problem. The original issue was delamination under the refrigerator vent, not a crack. Now, it could be that the crack formed because since the original wall panel was cut and fixed, that could now be a weak point when the trailer is flexing or expanding/contracting with the temps, I don't know. Either way its aggravating.Crack at DeLam Fix - What to Do?Question. When you guys get your fiberglass walls repaired, how long is it supposed to last? I had some delam fixed last fall at a local CW and it has cracked at the joint between the original surface and the repair area. The frustrating thing is this was the second fix for delam in this area. The first fix failed before I even took possession of the trailer after the first fix. The unit was out of warranty and Jayco was kind enough to cover half the cost. This isn't a Jayco issue, this is a CW problem. I there anything I can do to get CW to fix this again on their dime? Thanks. Re: Anyone pull with a 2020 GMC 2500 standard box?The need of a slider hitch depends on the location of the pin and the width of the trailer. We towed a Puma Unleashed toy hauler with a standard bed 2002 GMC for several years and worked just fine. The trailer was 96” wide and the pin was slightly forward of the trailer cap. Never had to use the slider. Our current trailer (Jayco Talon) is 102” wide and the pin is under the cap. Now if I need to do an extreme angles backing maneuver, I need to extend the slider. Check those two trailer conditions to see if a slider hitch is necessary. We have a B&W Companion. Heavy as hell but a nice hitch. Don’t know about any other hitches.Re: Brakes Stopped Working after CW Visit. wa8yxm wrote: K Charles wrote: Maybe they broke a wire when they dropped the axle. If I had to guess I'd say the probability of this is in the 99+% range. Would that provide intermittent complete brake failure or just affect the single brake?...Re: Brakes Stopped Working after CW Visit. Did you drive without the breakaway cable? Hence the brakes were on, overheated and likely now ruined? Sounds like it. Yes/no. I pulled the breakaway cable and drove for about 30 feet. Just enough to see if the brakes worked.Re: Brakes Stopped Working after CW Visit. joebedford wrote: What does "I have no brakes more than having brakes" mean? It means the brakes would work intermittently. I’m going to try to clean the plug a little better an apply some dielectric grease to see if that helpsRe: Brakes Stopped Working after CW Visit. K Charles wrote: Maybe they broke a wire when they dropped the axle. I checked all the connections at the brakes and they looked good.Re: Brakes Stopped Working after CW Visit.^^^^^. I thought about that but the battery’s worked to move the landing gear when hooking up. That said, that are several years old and did not get charged over the winter. My initial thought was it was due to a dirty pig tail connection. Cleaning up the 7 pin plug didn’t help.Brakes Stopped Working after CW Visit. Not sure what is going on. The brakes worked fine when the trailer went into the shop 5 months ago. Had warranty work done, one of which was to change a leaf spring out. When we received the trailer, I noticed it had a new breakaway switch in the pin. Not sure why but didn’t ask and was not part of the warranty work. On the way out the truck wave me a warning to check the trailer wiring so I played with the pigtail and the brakes worked. I got the notice on and off an the way home. Yesterday I played with the pigtail but still have the problem but now I have no brakes more than having brakes. Last thing I did before putting it away was pull the breakaway cord hoping the brakes wild lock. Nope. So, I have no power going to the brakes. The light work fine. I’m calling CW to see what the hell they did to the brake wiring. I know this will mean taking my trailer back to CW, but it’s a 3 hour round trip and God knows how much lost time in the shop. If it’s an easy diagnosis and fix, I’d rather do that.
