I have stayed in KOA's with GREAT staff, and others that I'd never consider going back to. Stayed in privately owned parks that are the same. It's like any other business; some folks make it, some don't. Some have the temperament, some don't. Just like State/Federal CG's. The staff and maintenance usually set the bar. OTOH, I've stayed in CG's (Lake Piru in California, for one) that I thought were great, but went back when the crops were in and camped next to a 15+ bunch of pickers who got up at 6:00 AM, worked 'til dark, and drank until 11:00 PM! Some times the park staff would catch them, sometimes not. Everything can also depend on the day and time you check in. You may come in right after Old Biscuit :B, and have to deal with frazzled staff, of after me, and the're all doing their OHM's...Re: Dirty trim. CampingN.C. wrote: Anyone have any tricks for whitening up the trim, like the rubber CATV caps or the vinyl trim on the corners? I've tried some Wesleys Bleach White, works great on white lettered tires but didn't touch the black mildewed trim pieces. Suggestions..... Bleach White is great on tires and rubber, but I think I'd use the new Rustoulem(?) or whoever makes it, spray paint for the plastics. It's supposed to lightly etch the plastic (Acetone?) and adhere quite well. I've had several friends use it to great success.Re: Pin head leak in hoseA Goat Head got my Rhino, and I just dabbed some RTV on it. Been there for about two years.Shurflo pump switch!I'm an Electrical Engineer, and have a bad pressure regulator switch on my Shurflo water pump. I looked all over the net to find the switch, but could only find the complete head assembly for over thirty bucks! I found the (almost) same switch at Allied Electronics for less than two bucks! The "almost " part is that it has a normally open contact that can easily be broken off with a pair of pliers. This switch has a rating of twice the original, and fits perfectly! Allied P/N: 7120159.Re: Good Sam RV loans.. good, bad or the same as the othersGood Sam uses Essex Credit (Bank of the West), and I was very happy with my dealings with them. Only dealt with G/S for the first part of the app. Took four days from inception to money to the dealer. Also a better interest rate than my credit union.Re: RE:Hey, where did you get that?Invisible Glass has been described to me as a 50/50 mix of alcohol and distilled water. When my bottle went dry, I mixed some alky and D.W. together, and they seem to work just like I.G.! On edit: I also use the Invisible Glass Reach and Clean tool on the inside of the windshield. Works great!Re: Christmas Lights Electrical ProblemProbably an air bubble.Re: Ice fishing RVAnd you wouldn't need a black tank!:BRe: Dirt Cheap Meters Link Includes A FLUKEI hasve bought a lot of 'stuff' from Banggood and have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of each purchase. No test equipment, but dash cams, remote switches, and a really nifty USB borescope with a 7-meter cable. Most of the items purchased come from Singapore in about a week and a half. Oh, yeah, I got some really nice warm white 44-led square arrays for $.99 each! Brighter than the incandescent bulbs in the MoHo fixtures, and 400-mw.Re: Former or Inactive membersHow about Leaksrus? I know he was ill about 4 years ago, but lost touch and haven't heard from him, either in PM or forums.
