As for my friend Don, I've heard of this type of coach referred to as a Super C by many sources so I'm not sure who's right, but I'm excited about this thing regardless of what it's called. Thanks - JBRe: A vs C HELPI love learning and hearing everyone's perspective. I can't find if the Class C we're building (a "Super C" Showhauler or Renegade Ikon) has airbags but I know they're built on Freightliner's Cascadia heavy duty chassis & have 43,000 GVWR and a massive hood containing a massive engine & frame. We never like to think about having an incident that would make any of this even matter, but it makes me a little happier knowing this - JBRe: Change of Plans!Lol. Sorry gang. The Super C at the show was a Showhauler 45 footer. And since researching them we've come across units made by Renegade as well. We plan on visiting both facilities in Indy before making a decision. Anyone with experience with either? Thanks! - JBChange of Plans! So I've been in a heavy research mode for our 1st RV (we work from home & will be full-timing) and thought we had finally decided on a middle-end Class A (Entegra Cornerstone 45) until last week. On our way out of the Pomona, CA RV show (after spending 8 days & endless hours there!) to process all the info we'd been compiling, my girlfriend spotted a funny looking coach and suggested we look inside while we were there. I was blown away by what I found.. Welcome to the "Super C". Unlike every Class A we'd seen, because that big diesel engine (600hp, 2050ft/lbs...) resides under a hood instead of under the floor, I didn't have to slouch down to avoid my head hitting the ceiling (I'm 6'6") inside! Plus I understand the maintenance & repairs are way cheaper and faster. And unlike a Class A, you have some form of crash protection due to the engine and frame being in front of the coach. A 40,000 lb tow capacity VS. 15-20K lbs.! Steel roof & aluminum side walls VS. fiberglass. 3 entry doors instead of 1. The overall build & construction felt worlds better & more solid than any A we'd seen under $2M million dollars. And based on the many floor plans offered (we can even create an individual one) the living room area can be every bit as open & continuous as a Class A within the same 45' footprint. It had an auto leveling air suspension, heated floors, washer/dryer 1.5 baths. And as a bonus, because of the ceiling height (93" VS. 84") ALL the cabinets were taller, resulting in bigger interior storage space. We also get BIGGER water tank capacity (150 gal fresh, 72 Blk AND 72 gray). The cherry on top was that this Super C was substantially less then the A's we were considering (although our custom build will be slightly more than the show unit). The few downsides to us were the smaller basement storage & no pass thru (the drive shaft runs through the coach), you lose about 5ft of interior space due to the engine out front, and there's no "rock star bus" effect & big panoramic windshield (although I already dig the tough, beefy truck driver look & stance and we hear it drives better than a Class A when we're on the road with the big over the road guys)... I've been studying these Super C's and love everything it offers. We're super excited about our change of plans & future home. Best of luck - JBRe: A vs C HELPGreat topic! We are shopping for our 1st coach and will be bringing our pug along, and plan on adding 2 Dogo Argentinos, a large hunting dog, to our family. So we'd have 2.5 dogs lol. Lots of questions as it's all new (and exciting!) to us. Thanks - JBRe: New to RVing with our dogsGreat & informative post! I'm planning on ordering an upper-end coach (not Prevost level yet) and upon doing research on where to stay in our travels, it seems like the parks & grounds are almost segregated and you don't see many high end ones parked with the others. I was thinking it was more to length than anything else? Thanks - JBRe: jeep wrangler towing questionsSlightly off topic, but I'm planning to buy a newer Wrangler to tow and will probably change the bumper to something more heavy duty for offroading. Do you know if you can attach the tow bars of these like the stock bumper? Thanks a million - JBRe: Newbies from Central CaliforniaCongrats on your decision. I'm new to So Cal & doing my research on buying a class a with the intention of full-timing with my Gf & dog. I'm also in my mid (late..) 30's, so it's great to hear we have some fellow younger couples (Gf is actually in her mid 20's) to meet on the road in the future. I've been doing a ton of homework online and visiting our local dealers to narrow down what we want & need. And I'm looking forward to the next RV Show to see a broader sampling, although I think I'm just about settled on which coach fits best. Best of luck, and please keep us posted on your progress - JB
