What y'all are saying makes sense.... But,this is my 4 tt with electric tongue jack over 20 years and this never happened. This isn't some new behavior of mine that suddenly appeared. 2 Atwood jacks and an ultra-fab 5500 prior to this Barker. If the other jacks had behaved this way, I wouldn't have this this **** habit. New trailer came with a Barker VIP 3500 tongue Jack. It blows the fuse (30A) when I reverse direction. If I stop and wait a moment before reversing direction, fuse doesn't blow. Other than this, the jack works fine. This is my 4th TT with an electric tongue jack but this never happened on the others. Any ideas?4KViews0likes16CommentsRe: Caulk used at factory

Thinking of upgrading to a 31’ trailer from a 27 footer. TV is a GMC 2500HD cc long bed. I know longer trailers are generally easier to back up. I keep my trailer in a driveway at my house so it’s a 90 degree back in on a 30’ wide suburban street. It’s a piece of cake to back my 27 footer into the driveway. Will it be appreciably more difficult backing the 31 footer into the spot? Anybody here made a similar jump up in trailer length? Was there much difference in the towing experience? What are you towing with your 6 liter 2500hd or 3500hd? What’s the gvwr of your trailer and how’s the towing experience? I tow an Arctic Fox 25r with my 2015 2500hd 6 liter vortec. Trailer weighs about 9,000 lbs loaded. I’m happy with it’s performance and reliability for the most part. Throughout the mountain west, It’s averaging 8 mpg per 400 miles. It goes over Donner Summit in CA at 60mph towing. Handles comfortably while towing. But……… I’m considering a 30’ 5th wheel that weighs about 12,000 lbs. No doubt a diesel would handle it better. Has anyone removed the "L" shaped wood partition wall between the bed and the kitchen/living area? . This wall runs ceiling to floor approximately 2' wide (left side), then about 3' high and about 4' wide as you look to the right behind the sofa. We have been planning our 6 week spring trip pulling the AF25R with the Chev 2500hd (6.0 gasser) from home in. CA to Utah,NM, and southern Colorado. Planning to hit the road end of March. Wow! Now I’m not so sure. >$5.00 a gallon regular gas at 8mpg. Hmmmm, I can afford it but worry about a supply disruption at the pump and getting stranded. This situation with RUS-UKR doesn’t bode well.
