All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsSway controlI purchased a 2014 Jayco Swift SLX 184bh. The RV dealer threw in the the hitch, load levelers and the sway control. The sway control is an Easy Lift. We have camped about 4 times so far with no problems at all. I went to hook the camper up last weekend and noticed that I couldnt release the pressure off of the sway control bar by using the release lever. I went to the RV dealer and they said the the sway control bar was bent although there were no visible bends. They also said that I must have turned to sharp and caused the bend. I have been very careful not to turn to sharp with the sway control in place. Is there something that I am doing wrong? Was it on too tight or did I turn to sharp. Or is this just a common problem. Just curious because a new sway control is $85.00 and I dont want to make the same mistake again.Re: Complete Newbie Seeking GuidanceI have a 2002 Toyota Sienna and we just purchased a 2014 Jayco Swift SLX 184bh. We have camped in it about 5 times now and love it. The holing tanks are a little small but other than that we love it. It sleeps 5 people easily and was $2000 cheaper than a pop up with a shower/toilet option. The Sienna handles it pretty well so far. We have 3 bike racks for the kids mounted to the luggage rack on the roof. We seem to have attracted some attention at the campsites due to the size of the trailer and size of the tow vehicle. The Sienna is rated for 3500lbs and the empty weight of the Jayco is about 2600. We are having a great time with it and would highly recommend the Jayco Swift models so far.Re: Gray Water TankThanks again for all of the great advice. I will check the size of the tank with a gallon milk jug. I also will make some different arragnements for washing dishes. Lol. I do like the idea of washing dishes in a tub and running it down into the black water tank. Also I just purchased a portable tank (25 gallon with wheels and a tow bar). Waiting on it to arrive. Things I should have thought about before the purchase. Although I am limited to trailer size due to the tow vehicle being a Toyota mini van.Re: Gray Water TankI can tell when the tank is full by looking at the gage and also gray water will start backing up into the shower pan. Its definately full. Yes I am hooking to city water but I am using a pressure regulator. I am guessing that the tank is just small so I ordered a 25 gallon tote tank today. I was just curious if I was doing something wrong or if there was something else wrong. I use to have a pop up that didnt have any tanks so this is all new to me. I appreciate the advice.Gray Water TankQuestion? I just purchased a 2014 Jayco Swift SLX 184bh two weeks ago. We have taken it out 2 times and both times within an hour of setting up, the gray water tank has filled up. According to Jayco, this unit has a 15 gallon gray water tank and the only thing that we have done is washed dishes using maybe 2 sink loads of water. This doesnt seem like 15 gallons to me. Any ideas as to what could be wrong other than it doesnt really have a 15 gallon tank? Other than this little issue, we love the trailer. It sleeps 5 and is pretty well laid out.
