The RV is for sale so I want it to be in good order and how i would want to buy it if it were me looking. If i could i would just replace with real wood but there would be no way to match that wood color....Re: "leaking" fridge has caused trim to start rottingi will check tonight. it is a dometic 6cuft but not sure of "model"Re: "leaking" fridge has caused trim to start rotting "leaking" fridge has caused trim to start rottingso several months ago i noticed below my fridge there is a square access panel that had a bubble in it. i took it off and sure enough one corner was a little wet. there is not leaks under the fridge, so i found out the water is coming from the fridge during a defrost and it leaks right down through the door mount holes on onto the wood paneling. which is not wood. So i did what i thought might fix the issue and siliconed up the mount area and screw holes. then when it is defrosted i would leave towel at the bottom to soak up the water. well, about a month later it is worse and has spread to the panel to the side of the fridge. Even if i figure out how to fix the fridge from leaking down there, now i have a panel i have no idea how to replace and make it match. The access panel i can order and it is cheap but i do not want to replace it until i fix the leaking. My rv gets used quite a bit and even though i keep it plugged in sometimes i leave the fridge off/ open and clean it. so this is where the water is coming from, just melting/defrosting. any ideas? i have pictures but do not know how to attach them....tow master tow dolly, ratchets are bad design- OPtions? This topic has been moved to another forum. You can read it here: 29765501tow master tow dolly, ratchets are bad design- OPtions?i have a 2019 master tow dolly. the ratchets are mounted to a bracket that is fixed on a round rail. it slides back and forth along the rail. my issue is, the ratchets will not release, because it hits my cars bumper. i physically have to remove the bolts to get it undone. I have tried to turn the ratchets around but it does not work either because the when tension gets tight the ratchet moves rotates toward the tire and will not let me. This is a horrible design and maybe cars without such a low bumper do not have issues but i need to find out something else.....Re: Tow Dolly tire strapsi just got some of these off ebay. They are the best quality i have seen DEMCO Car Basket Straps Tow Dolly Wheel Net Set Flat Hooks BLUE USA my issue is the ratchets. I cannot release mine because they hit the bumper of the car. I physically have to unbolt them from my master to dolly. Mod Edit: Fixed URl to be clickable with title.Re: Dicor 551 for trim, it sucksi am going with my original statement...551 sucks....i did the tape method which did ok.....but the seems still to me do not look good. it looks like from the factory they used clear, not sure if it is a silicone or not but it looks fine so my best bet is to go back with something clear....and that is "toolable" i also did the spray method on this 551....it still sucked....it does look ok in spots but using white is just not the way to go....ill post some pictures of the previous owners silicone job. i may just take it to a rv shop and have them do it....Re: Dicor 551 for trim, it sucks goducks10 wrote: Get a spray bottle. Fill it with water and a drop or two of dish soap. Lay the bead, lightly spray the bead, wipe with your finger. Just did my whole front cap and it was the easiest caulk job I've done. Trying to smooth it out without any wetness just makes the bead drag and stick. you did this with 551 dicor?????Re: Dicor 551 for trim, it sucksi went to lowes tonight and got some sealant that does not say silicone on it and is good for fiberglass and is good for light "tooling". The painters tape might be the way to go i just have so much to do......I did forget to get silicone remover...took forever to get the stuff off
