It seems like we here at Good Sam seem to know more about our dinghys than the car companies themselves! I will have to go to a locksmith to make spares to open the door. And I did get 2 other keys but one is for my mom who might occasionally drive my car & a spare for at home. 3 keys are not enough! Besides, a chipped key doesn't fit into my wallet! And, about turning off the screen, the Subaru service guys had no idea, so thanks to those of you who said to pull the fuse for it before I tow. Thankfully the fuse box is easy to get to & surprisingly they are labeled & I can easily differentiate which fuse it is. Again, thanks to all who helped me. You guys all rock!how to get spare key?I just bought an Impreza 2015 manual Subaru & to tow it I need to keep the key in the ignition & on "on". I always have the car locked when I tow it so I need to have a key to open the door to retrieve my key. Does anyone know where I can go to get a spare key done that just opens the door? Supposedly only the dealership gives you keys & they only do the $400 key with chip crap. I just need a plain key! Also, it has a screen that is on with the key in the "on" position. I need to turn it totally off so it doesn't drain the battery when I tow. Any ideas? It seems like they don't think about people towing vehicles anymore :( Anni 23' Jamboree motorhome 2000Re: when does one have to replace LP tanks? Now I'm even more confused. Yes, my tank is permanent and it looks really crappy. I've never had anyone comment on my tank until my last trip in WY. Who might I want to take it to to get an honest look-over? It's a 2000, so it's already 14 yrs old & being in the Chicago area, gets all types of weather. Do I need to worry? How soon should I look into it? Thanks for your ideas so far! :)when does one have to replace LP tanks? We have a 23', 2000 Fleetwood Jamboree & the last time I got my 14 gal LP tank filled, the guy said that since it's so rusty, I probably should get it replaced. I have never heard anywhere anything about ages of LP tanks. What do you guys suggest? We dry camp a lot, so the tank gets a good workout every year. I don't think there's much of any paint left on the tank, it looks that bad, but the controller etc looks fine. Any help would be much appreciated!
