Edit: I forgot to mention that the LT tires cost $80 or so and the Maxxis cost up around $120. If you try to buy a E rated ST tire in Needles, CA it cost $250 and is a no name brand to boot. Plus it will last just long enough to get you another 1000 miles before it shreds. This was true before the current generation of tires. The new ones like Carlisle are speed rated for 85 mph or something like that. And are cheaper than LT tires. What he said. (In the first quote) I switched my last TH to LT tires after 2 ST blowouts and never had an issue since. Even on a 28 hour high speed run to Sturgis. I'll never buy ST's again.
