The rig has made one trip to Alaska so the stock may be shot. Does anyone know of the Bilstein shock model number and part number that will fit. there isn't any sway bars on the front being a straight axle and none on the rear. Any advice would be helpful. Thank You.Handling adviseAfter 11 years of owning a 28 ft. class c ,I just bought a 2004 Safari Trek,29RBD with 36,000 miles. It is on a workhorse chassis but I do not know which model. I only drove it for 30 miles on 2 lane roads and 15 miles on the highway. It would sway even when passenger cars would pass. I was hoping that a semi would pass to see what would happen but didn't meet any. I am 1400 miles from home base at my son's house and he has a place for me to make repairs. What I need to know is what do I need to do to the suspension to get this rig to handle rock solid ?Re: Ford E350 - 460 "hiccup"I had the same problem that SEMO MIKE had . The transmission would act as if it was is neutral, engine would rave up, then go back into gear. I replaced everything, everybody knew they had the answer but their answer failed. A old time mechanic at Hudsonville transmission in Hudsonville, Michigan had the answer, Now get this ----- "the speedometer", 1992 to 1995 has a PSOM programmable speedometer odometer module built into the speedometer. It will short out and cause the transmission to do all sort of strange things. Ford does not make a new replacement part the only option is a used speedometer replacement. Hope this helps out .Re: speed ohmeter is fast99 Ford's use an electric speedometer. They can be reset by you to read accurate for tire size changes. Type in 99 e350 speedometer on {YOU TUBE}. It will give you instructions on how to. Get the value that your speedo is presently set at and start from there.Re: 1995 Conquest cruise control not workingNeed more information. Does it work some of the time or not at all. Number one problem is the pressure switch on the brake master cylinder, could be speed sensors or PSOM in the speedometer.Re: Transmission IssuesThanks , after spending a lot of money at transmission shops without a answer of why it does what it does. Mine has acted the same way. Now I know where to look. You are a savior, keep up the good work.Re: Vehicle Speed SensorMy 95 does the same thing. I had to replace the vss several times. I did find that metal shavings in the rear differential lube can cause the vss to give false readings at speed. They are magnetic and will pick up metal to distort readings. My abs light is also on all the time, can't find out why with all test done. I just live with it. The cruise control would some times work, some times not, and have a mind of it's own. Replacing the pressure switch on the brake master cylinder sloved the problem. Ford's of his age are known for having speedometer problems. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good luck.Re: House battery being overcharged????You will have to get down on your knees and look up and to the back of compartment. The fake wall won't go all the way up to allow air flow and protection for converter.Re: House battery being overcharged????You converter is behind a fake panel in the outside right rear compartment of m/h. Place the Magnatek in trash and buy a progressive dynamics to replace it. Problem sloved.Re: Outside fridge vent covers-keep wasps out?I HOT GLUED PLASTIC SCREEN TO THE INSIDE LOUVERS.
