Still confused, especially after talking with a REMCO Drive Shaft installer here in Salem who wasn't completely reassuring when it came to the fact that my 2013 Nissan Truck is an optional 4X4 wheel drive vehicle and wasn't sure how the drive shaft being disconnected would affect the front wheel drive mechanisms. The concept is, if the main drive Shaft is disconnected using his REMCO coupler, with the automatic transmission in Park, it will not be functioning and no damage would occur. How's that sound?REMCO Drive Shaft CouplingI'm considering installing a Drive Shaft Disconnect on my 2013 Nissan Frontier truck and was wondering if any of you have any experience with this set-up? Thanks, PeterRe: Newmar Dutch Star Slide Out ProblemI made an appointment at Guaranty RV in Junction City, Oregon where I bought the coach for them to repair it. I'll let you know the results when the work is completed. Thanks Doug and Old Guy. I'm still upset with myself for being so careless.Newmar Dutch Star Slide Out ProblemAfter 10 years of motor home experience, A senior moment struck when attempting to send out the living room slide-out with the travel bar still set. The slide out went out a bit, got stuck before I could stop it and now makes noise going in and out and is 2" out in the rear of the slide when brought back in. Any ideas how to get the slide-out back to its original position? Thanks, embarrassed and brain fried, PeterRe: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Washed the motor home and returned to storage awaiting our few summer trips to the cool Oregon coast when it gets too hot in the Salem.Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Drove 400 miles from West Yellowstone, MT's Grizzly RV Park to the Ambassador RV Resort in Caldwell, Idaho. Exhausted time for bed! On to Bend, Oregon tomorrow.Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Drained all water in coach using air compressor to avoid the risk of anything freezing before we load it up and head south in January.Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Deen, Our Monaco Diplomat measured 39' and the Coho ferry cost about $160.00 each way.Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today???We extended the summer last week by driving our Monaco Diplomat to Port Angeles, Washington, drove it on to the Black Ball Ferry Line’s Coho bound for Victoria, BC, hooked up at the West Bay Marine Village and enjoyed a picturesque view of Victoria. The weather treated us to seeing Victoria, BC with all of its European/British flavor and of course Butchart Gardens which is our favorite gardens on earth. Brought the motor home on Saturday and spent yesterday cleaning it and making it ready for the winter months ahead until January when we will take it south to get out of Oregon’s wet and cold winter.Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Last week we traded in our 2005 Holiday Rambler Neptune 34SKD for a 2004 Monaco Diplomat 40 PST with only 12,000 miles on it and this past Monday we took off for Newport Oregon’s Outdoor Resorts on our maiden voyage to check out all systems and get a feel for driving a larger coach. The weather in Newport was mixed as we had both sun, mist, fog, clouds and finally heavy rain as we left for home. The Monaco drove like a dream on its 8 air bags, shocks, steering stabilizer, and the previous owner installed a Banks Power Pack System which made the 330 Cummins Turbo hum up the steepest of grades on the coast range we crossed. With three slide outs the Diplomat provided much more inside space which was one of the main reasons we wanted a larger coach and the interior appointments are exceptional. Overall the trip was a grand success and we are now looking forward to our annual winter get-a-way south to get out of Oregon’s wet, cold and gray winter.
