There are two batteries that provide 12 volts to start the 300 HP Cat engine. Right now, when i turn the key I have no response to the engine, so I am sure one of the accessory wires is not properly connected.Starter BatteriesDoes anyone have any kind of schematic showing where the cables(wires) go in hooking up the starter batteries on a 1999 National Tradewinds. Had batteries replaced and now he isn't quite sure where all the wires go properly. I know they should have been tagged as they were removed but that didn't happen so now need help. ThanksRe: 2013 Winnebago vista 35b flat towing jeep rubiconRabbit Trail.. In a pinch once I got in the toad, cranked it up, put the RV running in neutral and with my wife on the phone and in the RV driver seat pulled the entire rig back about 15 feet so I could drive out. Some guy had boxed me in and left his pickup to go shopping, I guess. I have done that a couple times in the last 20 years when needed. It worked for me and didn't have to unhook the toad that time. Just a thought for you or anyone who needs to back up on a fairly straight and level place. Happy travels. ArnoldRe: RV steps don't retract when engine is startedI have that problem with my steps not working after sitting for a long period of time. crawled under with a small hammer and gave the unit a whap a couple times with the hammer. in they went and after some good lubricant, worked ok after that Happy Travels, ArnoldRe: Black tank not draining! That toilet auger shown in the picture can be purchased here at our Walmart store. I 'm sure it would be very helpful. Happy travels, ArnoldRe: TIRES?I have run the Toyo and liked them. Now running Sumitoma and also like them. Hankook also is used by many RVers so check prices and go for it. Happy travels. ArnoldRe: Black tank not draining! If you have a pull down rod for your shade , use it for a clean out snake. Turn off your water outside so you can use your on board water and open the float valve. Poke the rod down and wiggle it around. Works great and you can get the clog out. Then as suggested, lots of water with each flush will keep problems away. If you are going to use the method of putting water in and driving around sloshing water to break things up, put ice cubes in the tank to help the process. Not just ice but cubes to do the best job. Happy travels, ArnoldRe: Ford V10 TritonI had a 1999 V10 in 03 and drove to Alaska and back 11,500 miles pulling a Honda Accord. Several trips to Iowa and Florida without any problems from the V10. I think they are a solid unit and would not be afraid to own an older one even now. I might also say that I used Amsoil full synthetic and never changed oil on my Alaska trip until I returned. Then I changed every 10,000 after that. I was very happy with that old V10. Good luck on your choice and Happy Travels ArnoldRe: Ford V10 TritonI had a 1999 V10 in 03 and drove to Alaska and back 11,500 miles pulling a Honda Accord.
