If the slope was towards the dump, the system would take on extra water. Just a thought.Re: Residential fridge and dry campingSounds like you already made your decision to go with the dual unit and that's fine they work ok. Personally I'll never go back to the RV refers. Had them in past campers and I had one in the present unit. I swapped it out for a residential unit and after using it for a few years now will never go back to the RV style. We dry camp, take trips on the road for a few days at a time, and have never had an issue. I actually think the RV unit drew down the batteries more. I have 4 batteries for the coach and a decent inverter, they all came with the coach so a swap didn't take more than pulling out the old and installing the residential unit and plugging it in. I've left it sit for 3 to 4 days with no hook-up and it barely phased the batts (I had moved it so friends could use our parking spot and forgot to plug it in). I'm done dealing with the dual RV units, I always had to plan and worry about the RV unit. The residential unit we start in April when I unwinterize it and don't shut it off until I close it up in Nov and never had any issues. Best mod I ever did. Residential all them way for us,but everyone has different opinions and circumstances.Re: Best Place To Buy Screws Bolts Nuts Online?Boltdepot.com they're out of Hingham MA. Very fast shipping and a large selectionRe: Jerky while towingGenerally a trailer will feel jerky if there isn't enough weight distributed to the hitch. When a trailer hits a bump it pulls back on the truck giving it a jerk. If you follow someone who doesn't have enough weight on the hitch you'll see the trailer swaying back and forth as well. Try moving more weight to the front of the trailer to get the ratio correct.Re: Steering stabilizerIf you want it to drive MUCH better put in a REAR Trac bar like the one from Henderson Line up or something similar (no I don't work for them or sell their products). It doesn't sound right but generally the sawing back and forth your feeling is actually the rear end. The front safe t plus in the front will help but typically won't make that big of a difference. Before the current rig we have now, we had the F53. I did all of the chassis mods to try and get it drive able. Did the shocks, the front safe t plus, weighed, front end alignment etc. It helped, but the rear Trac bar is what made the most improvement. The rear Trac bar was at least twice the improvement of all the others combined. It was immediately night and day. Driving with one hand was no problem with or without a toad. If all your after is to have the wheel come back to center when you let go of the wheel then the safe t plus (or something like it) is good. But if you want it to drive and handle better, then the rear Trac bar is it.Re: residential refrigerator, how long will it run on batteries?I had unplugged my RV to moved it and forgot to plug it back in. Went 4 days no problem. Course it was just sitting I wasn't opening and closing the refrig doors. But batteries were hardly down much at all. When were traveling many times we don't run the generator and haven't had a problem. Yes I have the Samsung. Took out the Norcold and installed the Samsung. Best mod I ever did. Won't buy another rig without a residential style unless it's a REAL good $ and I can swap it to residential fairly easy.Re: Oversized Ice Cube MakerHave you tried dry ice? Very cold and evaporates so no mess after and not expensive.Re: FestivalsWe've been to Cavendish country music festival on Prince Edward Isle twice. It's in July. There's a campground not too far away. Have had a great time both times we went. Very big names for the main event.Re: Quikee Step problemFix mine more than I care to admit, to the point that I carry a spare motor. You can get them on eBay or Amazon pretty cheap. But honestly 9 times out of 10 it's a bad ground. Make sure it's clean and you may want to add a jumper to the actual chassis not just the housing. That connection is the most critical and it's out in the weather. So needs to be cleaned once in a while.Re: Placement low point drains on 2005 Mtn Aire gasMine is a diesel but the low point is in the wash bay. There is a white "tray" on the bottom of the bay and along the back edge there is a small cut out. Just inside there on the floor is the low point valve. Not sure if it's the same for yours. I usually use Teflon tape when I put my anode rod back in to help remove it, but if it's been in there a while it may have corroded together with the outer screw shell. May have to drill out the old one.
