I just went through this decision with my 2016 Ram 2500 and AF 811. The truck would haul the camper but I knew I was over weight for the truck. Yes I had air bags and sway bar for added stability however, for my peace of mind, I went to a F450 and built a frame for the 18 inch front space. I just returned from a hunting trip and I can say with confidence that the larger truck handles better and I feel better knowing I am not over weight.389Views0likes0CommentsBattery Tray Pushing on Door
I noticed on my AF 811 the battery door was not flush with the camper side. When opening the door I can feel the battery tray pushing against the door. I looked at the tray and the hook is around the post but the whole tray seems to be to close to the door. Is there a way to adjust them? I just got mine together over the weekend. LB F450 and SB 811. The truck came with a power bed cover so I can close the cover to the front of the camper and use the storage space below. I am thinking about jumping to the F450 with my AF811 and adding some extra storage in front of the camper and cab. I have seen some folks with extra fuel tanks in between as well. As long as the CG is above the rear wheels, is this ok? Thanks!1.6KViews0likes10Comments
