Trouble with my floor
I have a 2011 Rockwood Windjammer 3002W. We've noticed when we first got it last year that there was a raised bolt under the linoleum floor. Now there are 5 and they're getting worse each time we travel. I opened the plastic membrane under the RV to see if I could tighten them but it looks like they're located under the floor and can't be reached. It appears there's a slight bend in the floor along the line of bolts. Is there a way to fix this problem? We're considering the possibility of a 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 HD, 6.0L V8 to pull our 7,000 lb. TT. It has a 10,300 towing capacity and it may be the ticket to tow our trailer across the country. Thanks for all the great feedback. The trailer hitch weight is 540 lbs. plus 2 people (280 lbs.), WDH is 75 lbs. and about 200 lbs. of stuff in the truck = 1,195 lbs. The truck payload is 1,640 so I'm okay with that. The dry weight of the trailer is 6,500 lbs. and I'm adding 1,000 lbs. We want to get a 2014 Forest River Hemisphere travel trailer that weighs 6,600 lbs. and we're looking at an F150 to pull it. I found a 2007 Ford F150 5.4L V8 Triton with a towing package. I read online that it will tow a max of 9,500 lbs. Will the truck handle this particular RV? I'm going to put a brake controller and weight dist. hitch on it also.
