Both (from different manufactures and with different chassis). Both needed some adjustment. Considering the price of tires and the possibility of handling problems if it's not right, I believe that this is prudent.Re: Fantastic Fan PartsSame result as Berner2. Talked to the nice and knowledgeable lady and parts arrived in the mail here in Canada at no charge. Good fans, good service...what's not to like! It's a (sadly) rare pleasure to deal with a company that provides a quality product, then stands behind it when things do go wrong.Re: Air brake endorsement - Ontario membersI think you need to go to an Ontario testing centre and ask them what is required for what you want to do. There is a lot of info posted above and it all could be true, but a lot of it seems a bit too complicated. CAVEAT. It was 10 years ago and the rules could certainly have changed but here's what was required at the time: having a general Ontario driving license, I took a written test based on the air brake booklet provided/purchased. Once passed, there was a stationary "practical" test that mostly involved running the test vehicle through the daily checks that one should do prior to driving a vehicle with air brakes. You had to provide a suitable "test vehicle" at the testing centre at the time of the appointment. There was no road test. My advice: Firstly, ask your dealer what is required to drive the thing you want to buy. Take that as a starting point then call an actual licensing centre and ask them what you need to do to get your air bake qualication.Re: Towing without a car braking system??Question: We have two 25000# MHs towing 3500# cars. Each does a panic stop from 40 mph, one with a properly setup SBS and one with no SBS. What is the difference in stopping distance?Re: Unexpected engine failure (shut down) 1994 Ford 460 V8I too suspect the fuel pump. The in-tank pump on that vintage 460 has/had about a 100% failure rate over time. If yours is still the original pump...it's a miracle! Been there, done that on a '95 that failed after about 5 years. You may have other issues but I'd look here first.Re: Shower Streaks Scrubbing BubblesFWIW, here's the lazy guy's solution to shower care used both at home and in the RV. Depending on shower use etc., your mileage may vary. I read somewhere on the net that most bar soap has talc as an ingredient and that the talc is a major ingredient in "soap scum". This old dog switched to "body wash" that has no talc and noticed a difference. Traumatic switch for an old dog, but seemed to work. Having made the switch, tried the "daily shower cleaner" products that are promoted by most of the major companies and available at the Dollar stores (both seem to work well). They promote them as if they are going to clean your shower, but they won't. You have to start with a clean shower! Starting with a clean shower: Rinse down the walls after showering to get rid of any "products" you may have splashed on the walls etc. then spray the shower cleaner on all the surfaces. It breaks down the bubbles and stops whatever contaminants are left from drying on the surface. End of the day, a clean shower! Depending on use, once a week/fortnight/month you will want to go in with a manual cleaner to deal with the nooks and crannies, but day-to-day the best solution I've found. No daily cleaning, no squeegying, even glass shower doors show up as clean at the end of the day.Re: YumaI've had a good experience with Al's. Have had several things done over the years. Done right, fair price. Will come to your site.Re: CAT 450HP engine fuel mileageFishers exaggerate the size of their catch, golfers fudge their scores, motorists enhance their mileage reports, Motorhomers dream about coaches that get more than 10 mpg and handle effortlessly in a strong crosswind. Some report excellent results...but physics is physics!Re: No Shaw Service in USAGreat info...and I'm sure a great relief for many folks! I'll add my own report when I get there. Since there are still several possible configurations for the system (new LNB/old LNB, upgraded receivers/not upgraded, mobile dish/stationary dish and so on, it would be good to include in a report what combo you are using along with the results. Gadget Guy, I've got the Travler as well and finally got it set up so it's working on the new rig here at home. Have new receivers, the new LNB, latest software etc. and all is working well near home. Looking forward to what happens with this combo when I lose the new sat on the way south. I'm guessing not much...but time will tell. After all the supposition, it's great to hear some actual reports! By the way, what's a "TRIP COUNT"? Haven't come across this yet. Cheers, tfwRe: Which do you do first - slider or jacks ?Just to separate the two issues, if you arrive at a site where you know/think whatever levelling system you have isn't going to "cut the mustard", by all means get out the lumber and get as close to level as your lumber supply will allow. Now, pretend you just arrived and do what your manual says WRT levelling and slide deployment!
