Very well built although quite a bit more simple than the other RV mfg’s who put a bunch of fancy features in their TH’s.Re: ATC 28 front bedroomBeautiful trailer, congrats! Glad to hear you’re happy with the quality of it and how it pulls! I have seen the black trim on the trailers at the Michigan dealer, any thoughts as to how the finish will hold up over time, rock chips etc etc?Re: ATC 28 front bedroomThanks hvac, I'm sending you a private message with some questions. Edit: I guess you don't allow private messages. Is there any other way I can contact you regarding specific questions I would rather talk about privately?Re: ATC 28 front bedroomGreat looking setup hvac! I like the ATC trailers without the graphics. Thanks for the towing report and pictures. I also have a silver truck and will go with a white or silver trailer. I just have to decide which model I want to spring for and what dealer to buy it through.Re: Fifty percent more payload in a F-150 Redwoodcamper wrote: It shows how silly stickers are. Not bashing your truck. You got one of the only gasoline trucks I would consider owning, but in the real world any 3/4 ton diesel is so much more capable regardless of what the sticker says. Amen! The GVWR stickers are solely for registration purposes. In fact, in California (probably other states as well) you can pay extra on top of your registration and register a truck for higher than the GVWR on the sticker. I've got a couple F550's and F350's that are registered for several thousand pounds more than their GVWR on the stickers. Go over scales all the time and have never had an issue.Re: Fifty percent more payload in a F-150Your F150 has a higher payload number on the sticker than many F250 diesels. Recently went with a friend to look at a lightly used 2017 F250 Lariat diesel and the yellow payload sticker said 1988 lbs! I was surprised how low it was.Re: ATC 28 front bedroom dannko wrote: Ctimrun wrote: holdinsteady wrote: At this point I am not expecting to need WD or sway control.....hoping the torsion axels on the trailer will take care of sway issues. I've talked to a couple owners who are pulling ATC trailers with 1 ton trucks without WD/sway control and have had no issues. Eager to hear your results. Thanks again for the info. Do you think a standard 6.75 bed 2017 F250 Super Duty SRW would also not need the sway distribution setup? I wouldn't think it would make much difference between an F250 or an F350 as long as they are both SRW trucks, only subtle differences between the two. Long bed vs short bed might make a bit of a difference. The weights on these ATC trailers shouldn't overload any (fairly recent) 3/4 or 1 ton truck. Edit: looks like HVAC is towing his 28' with a half ton Ram. Any issues at all hvac? How does your truck do with your trailer? Have any pictures with the truck and trailer connected?Re: ATC 28 front bedroom holdinsteady wrote: Ctimrun, I see you are from Idaho, whereabouts? I live in Emmett just nw of boise. I'm still looking for a good dealer to work with but I'm thinking we will also pick it up at the factory then travel around on our way back to Idaho. Would you recommend the dealer you worked with? Hoping you will keep updating this thread with your experience (and pictures) through this process with ATC. Looking forward to hearing about it. I have been working with Brandon Eshuis at Premier Custom Trailers in Schoolcraft, Mich. They are the preferred dealer for ATC and are located about 56 miles north of the ATC factory. They are not charging any delivery or set up fees and are discounting off of MSRP about $7k. So far they have been very responsive to any questions I've asked. I contacted the factory and they have also been extremely good to work with.....but they are not staffed for setup/delivery. They will make an exception if necessary but would rather you go thru a dealer for delivery. With no fees being charged.....it makes sense to use the dealer. 10% down with a cc will get your trailer ordered. 6 to 8 weeks for build and delivery. Mine is scheduled to be completed 25 Sep and I take delivery on 29th. The savings in delivery and set up fees will more than pay for my road trip. Brandon went over all available options on the phone with me and I had a quote in about an hour. We will stop at the factory on the way to the dealership for a look at the mfg process and get some dimensions and location of backing for installation of some aftermarket stuff I have in mind. I have spent a lot of time researching this rig and I can't find anyone who has an issue with the ATC toy hauler or the way the factory folks have treated them. I especially like the way they are built and they have all the factory options I was looking for. Thanks for the info! I will give Brandon a call. Not that you need it with your dually, but do you plan on using any WD/sway control? If so curious what you are going with for use with the aluminum frame.
