All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: soft pavementThanks guys. I'm going to buy some of those trucker pads. After we sunk and there was no water or electric, we ended up staying in the park's visitor center parking lot. I walked in the office promptly at 8 the next morning and got a refund before we pulled out. I guess I'll start asking a lot more questions when making a reservation at government-run facilities. I told them I had a 40ft DP and needed a paved site with water, sewer, and electric. I suppose that wasn't specific enough. Next time I'll ask what decade the pavement was installed and whether the utilities are just present or actually work.soft pavementWhat product / procedure do you guys use when camping on soft pavement? We stopped at a government-run park the other day that hadn't had any updates in decades. Our jacks made big holes in their pavement. (Their water and power didn't work either. It was a fun night.)Re: Diesel smell inside coachIt smells more like diesel fuel to me. That's why we were thinking it's from the engine (before DEF treatment) and not the exhaust.Diesel smell inside coachWhen driving, we are getting a strong diesel smell inside the coach. The problem is much worse in the rear (closer to the engine). We can park all night with the generator running and not have a problem, but when we start moving, the diesel smell becomes overwhelming. We were driving 200 miles Thursday, and I was able to minimize by turning on all three air conditioners (cab and both coach A/C's). Unfortunately, that's not a good long term solution when its 40 degrees outside. I mentioned this to the dealer and they did seal up three places that were suspect, but the problem is still happening. They said we absolutely should not be smelling diesel inside (and they're happy to keep working on it, I just can't get it back to them right now). Do you guys have any ideas, or have you had this happen? Thanks again for your sound advice!Re: Kim Komando: where'd she go?She is still on the radio 9am-12Noon Central time on Saturdays. Her website is komando.com. You're right, though, I haven't received her newsletters in a while either.Safe T PlusConsidering a Safe T Plus bar to help during these windy days plus when the 18 wheelers blow you off the road. Do they really work as advertised? Is Safe T Plus the best, or do you recommend something different? Is Camping World competent enough to install, or does it need to be done by a professional? Thanks guys!washing detergentWhat kind of washing detergent do you guys use, and where do you buy it? We have a Splendide washer/dryer combo, and my wife insists we need to use their detergent, which is quite pricey once you have it shipped. Is there a good reason to use the Splendide brand, and if so, have you ever found it in a store?Re: Wheel chocks (scotch blocks)Thanks for the help guys. I just ordered the ones from Northern Tool.Wheel chocks (scotch blocks)What brand / model wheel chocks do you guys use for your larger Class A's? Most of the ones I see online look cheap and under-sized. Thanks for your input.Propane source for portable grillI have a portable two burner Sportsman's Grill. The instruction book is very specific that you must use a 20 gallon propane tank with specific measurements. My RV has a 28 gallon tank with a grill connection. I'm trying to understand why I cannot simply connect my portable grill to the onboard RV propane tank connection. Am I missing something, or would it be OK to use the grill connection provided on the RV?
