All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Furnace IssueI went out this morning to try to recreate. I had to use the gen since I didn't have shore power. Everything worked fine. The only difference is that I turned the Magnum Energy ME-RC standard remote to charge. I didn't have this on at the CG, but the manual says when I connect shore power or gen it will automatically go to charge. Today if stayed on charge for awhile then turned off and showed absorbing. Still going to bring home to check with shore power, but didn't have time today.Re: Furnace IssueThe outlet temp was fine. I'm going to check it this weekend. As for the inverter type I will have to look it up. I can't remember since this is a new coach and don't have everything in memory yet. Thanks for the input. I will post again when I text.Furnace IssueSorry if this is long. We decided to take our new Allegro Open Road 37PA out for a New Years Eve and Day. It was going to be a little cold but figured we would get to spend the first night in it and put some things away. I had tested the furnace and everything seemed fine. On the way down I had the inverter on for the fridge and both furnaces. At least the front one turned off occasionally but I wasn't sure what I had the thermostat set for, so I didn't think much about it. We got to the campground setup, plugged in the 50 amp had turned off the inverter and turned on the furnaces. They would run for about 5 minutes and shut down. I checked propane it was fine and couldn't find anything else wrong. After trying things for a couple of hours we decided to drive the two hours home. It was going to be in the upper 20's and decided we would most likely be cold even with the fireplace and a small ceramic heater running. I did try running one furnace only turning the thermostat up, but it continued to shut off. On the way home I had left the front furnace on but not the converter and surprise it ran fine. In fact it was 75 in the coach. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?Re: Residential RefridgeraterThanks for the information. I will probably plug in prior to leaving. I do have 4 batteries and a large inverter but it is naot an issue to plug in first. I just had no idea what to expect. 4 or 5 hours is perfect.Residential RefridgeraterI just took delivery of my MH and it has a residential refridgerater. Since this is my first one I was curious how long it takes to cool?Filling BatteriesI'm looking at the Flow-Rite Pro-Fill battery watering system for my Allegro. From what I have seen they seem to work well. Does anyone have thoughts on these?Re: MagneShade OwnersI have my Magna Shades for 2 years and never have had a wind problem. We have been in wind gusts to 40 miles an hour (so they said) and never had a problem. We were in Iowa last year when a big storm came through. We had flag poles torn off, awnings flipped over and a lot of other stuff like chairs. I never had an issue with the Magna Shade. I used the wiper covers and the shade is under the wipers. I also have their wheel covers which I love and are really easy to put on and stay on.Re: Water heater by-passI have the book I will look thanksWater heater by-passLeaving in a week for Nadhville and was looking for the by-pass valve in our 2014 Winnebago 35f. The manual behind the water heater and access is under the stove. I removed the panel under the stove and yes the water heater is there but I don't see any by-pass valve. I purchased the MH in the fall and I didn't winterized it. So this is the first time I have tried to dewinterize the unit. Any help?Re: car dolly choice wbwood wrote: OldRadios wrote: The Acme has surge breaks which can be locked off for backing up. We are purchasing one and they are on sale right now for $1,200. I looked at the Demco and it is nice but it can't stand up on end so will take up more room in the garage. It also costs twice as much. In order to be able to stand it up, you will need 4"x4" blocks. This is so the lighs won't be crushed. If I might ask did you make your purchase of the Acme product and are you satified? I'm currently looking and so far my first choice is the Acme Tow Dolly. Probably will make the purchase next week.
