Now we want to upgrade to a new fifth wheel with all the new improvements offered in the new 5ers including the large window and the two recliners. Some of them have that but the window is not piece nor is it as low as 27 inches.. Is there one offered in today’s market?Re: 2002 Silverado 2500HD parts availiblityThanks for the positive replies.Re: 2002 Silverado 2500HD parts availiblityDoes that include electronic and mechanical parts? ie: allison xmsn and 4WD, etc?2002 Silverado 2500HD parts availiblityAt 15 yrs old and only 69,000 miles I figure there is alot of life left in my "very good" condition 2002 2500HD LT.The driver's side leather seat is still in tack. And no accidents. The trade in value is only $9,500. I bought it new and I hope to get another 60,000 miles out of it. But with time against me I wonder if parts are going to be a real problem. Is anyone with 10, 15, or 20 yr old chevy trucks having difficulty obtaining parts or are there plenty of after market suppliers out there? I checked on new trucks with same features my 2002 has and at 76 I can't afford to buy a $66,000 truck. All opinions accepted.2002 8.1 L crankshaft position sensorOther than the crankshaft position sensor what other issues can occur without being detectable or stored for techs to retrieve?Re: 2002 8.1 crankshaft positioning sensor R&R by dearlership.BurbMan, I had the crankshaft sensor replaced yesterday for $336. To your knowledge are there other issues that can cause engine failure without the "service engine soon" light turning on and entering a code in the system?Re: 2002 8.1 crankshaft positioning sensor R&R by dearlership.that makes sense. I'm going to try to get it R&R today or this week and I'll post the resultsRe: 2002 8.1 crankshaft positioning sensor R&R by dearlership. This problem happened five times between Oct 26,17 and Nov 13, 17. I did change the batt term bolts with ones from chev parts dept because that was mentioned earlier. Thanks for the info. I bought the truck new and it only has 69,000 miles on it and in very good condition, so I don't mind the $250 price. Can the CSP sensor be tested anyway before or after it's replaced just to see if that is the ongoing problem.2002 8.1 crankshaft positioning sensor R&R by dearlership.BurbMan recommended having the dealer replace the crank shaft positioning sensor. That makes sense to me. Is it a major job and what might it cost. Thanks in advance.Re: 2002 silverado 2500HD 8.1 L gasserThanks for all the responses. It only has 69,000 miles on it and I bought it new. I'm getting the oil chngd this week and I'll mention the crankshaft positioning sensor. Any idea what it costs to have the dealer do the job?
