Would like to hear from those that have made that trip and your favorite route and a road that's easy to drive with or without 5er. But yet a beautiful drive. I'm thinking hwy 20 and east or 26. I've been out 84 and down that way several times, just not to Reno of course. So from I-5 we want to cut of East and angle down to Reno. thanksRe: polyurethane refinish for dining table? obie311 wrote: Rich&Mar wrote: I didn't believe this until I tried it myself. I had googled this problem and this is how I found this trick. We had a whiteish mark on our table also about the size of a small pot. Take a steam iron (remember them) with a little water in it, lay a white towel over the stain and run the iron over the towel with steam puffs from the iron, just don't over due it. Ours came out great. Took 10 minutes. Did this just even out the dull spot so it wasn't noticeable or did it actually bring out the original luster of the finish? It removed the white mark and looked pretty good as is, but I oiled or waxed the entire table to even it out. Looks just fine.Re: polyurethane refinish for dining table?I didn't believe this until I tried it myself. I had googled this problem and this is how I found this trick. Can I just take a battery cable off and try to remember to hook it up every 2-3 weeks for a few days to charge the battery? Or do you even need to do this? It doesn't seem right to keep the battery hooked up to the power all the time. What's the best way or what do you do?Re: front cap fading and peelinag ScottG wrote: Had mine repainted after I removed graphics. It cost me $800 for a 2 part epoxy paint job. It was gorgeous and much tougher than the orig gelcoat junk. I am ready to start getting estimates to paint one side and the front cap, hope you are online and that you are permitted to give a name of a business. What place painted your rv? I noticed you are in the Seattle area. Any others please reply.tire pressuredo you run the max pressure in your tires as written on the sidewall? I have the Endurance, and it states 80# psi. Seems to me you need to take the outside temperature into consideration. I an reluctant to inflate to 80 psi and go on the road when it's 90% out. Then it becomes a guessing game, what psi at 90, at 75, at 45 degrees. 8200lb 5er. The sidewall does read, max pressure, so should you put less due to the temp? Or let the pressure go well over the 80 because of the heat?Re: do you really need a battery? Rich&Mar wrote: Thermoguy wrote: Just out of curiosity I tried to open my slide yesterday. My battery was disconnected, so I hooked up to power and tried the slide. Wouldn't open. Had to connect the battery just to open the slide. In WA, Costco, Walmart, Batteries Plus. I don't think Les Schwab would be a good place to get a good price on a battery. Boy are you right. $160. out the door at Schwab, $96. otd at costco. To keep this thread going for days, I'll ask another question. In researching batteries I read you should let them discharge to 50% before charging. OK, but how do I know when it's down to 50%? What do you do regarding your battery and maintain it in good shape?Re: do you really need a battery? Thermoguy wrote: Just out of curiosity I tried to open my slide yesterday. What brand do you like? Does Les Schwab here in the NW have a good deep cell?do you really need a battery? If you only camp in full hookup sites, why do you need a house battery? If the power goes out in the park, we have battery powered lanterns. The only reason I can think of, is to run the frig and maybe the furnace, but the power usually isn't out long enough to affect the frig and we do no cold weather camping. Your tow vehicle provides the power while towing for the running lights. A couple of things that might pop up would be if you needed to roll in the awing or slide. Anything else? What am I not thinking about?
