The Vehicle is my trusty 2001 F350 Crew Cab Dually (with Air Bags) powered by an International 7.3 with 150,000 well maintained miles (It is used almost exclusively to pull our trailer/vacation). Starting in 2010 I have had three sets of Firestone Transforce LT235/85R16E's M&S (which have performed FLAWLESSLY) first carrying a 5000 LB Artic Fox Slide-In, then in 2016 we switched to a 27 FT NUWA Fifth Wheel (Approx 11,000), we now have downsized to a 22Ft Nash Travel Trailer (Max Weight 7,400 LB's). I think a new set of the same Firestones would be "overkill" and another option might be a softer, quieter ride. A friend suggested trying Falcon's either Rubitrek A/T or WildPeak H/To2, LT's. Do I need to stay with Series E tires? I welcome input on these or other options from you all. Thank You in advance - travel SAFE - Wallace B 😃 To my fellow Garmin users To all who use Garmin devices = I have and used (Several) Garmin GPS devices for MANY years. Always thought highly of their products. Tried to download map updates to my 770LMT which claimed "Free Lifetime Maps and Traffic" but failed to be able too. Contacted GARMIN directly and was told that the 770LMT's have been discontinued so downloads are no longer available but I would be welcome to buy a newer version. To be fair the devise has ALLWAYS worked well and has been a good product, BUT, I can't see buying another GARMIN. Just another example of how, as consumers, we are LOOSING TRUST in most all the things that we buy today, as victims of planned obsolescence. As it turns out my "WAZE" app and likely the built in dash device in my next "tow vehicle" (maybe I shouldn't consider that feature either) will get me everywhere I need. Sorry but smarter. Happy Trails Guidance using Zamp Solar ControllerGood Morning Forum, I own a 2022 Nash 18FM that came with a Zamp Solar Controller system for my two solar panals. Zamp controllers are new to me. I am getting ready to store the unit for winter for the first time. I will remove and store the AGM battery BUT I am not sure how to "shut down" the controller as the trailer will be under ADCO cover for the winter. I contacted Zamp and obtained the Operators Manual but I don't find info on how to turn the system off and winter storage of same. Any guidance would be appreciated.....Thanks un advance, Wallace BNash 18FM water intrusion?Good evening fellow RVers, I own a 2022 Nash 18FM --- we took delivery in March 2022 and proceeded to run it for 2500 miles looping from PA to VA to GA to South C to North C back through VA, PA and finally home to NJ. Our break-in found all system and features worked perfectly except for one outside LED light fixture which was promptly replaced. We were pleased with the quality of the product. The 18FM is our second Northwood RV having owned an AF 1140 Slide-in which we traveled some 20,000 miles in without a single issue. We are completing a summer vacation run and on our way back down from Maine. On our run from Acadia down to Scarborough today we traveled thru HEAVY rain. When we arrived and setup at our CG stop we were surprised to find the floor inside the unit wet. All vents were down and secure during the trip (no signs of water on the ceiling in and or around vents). I BELEIVE the slide was retracted all the way and did an outside check of same before we left this morning. All windows were shut and secure with no water signs anywhere else except on the central floor area. Also checked everywhere else and find the only wetness detected was when I ran my fingers under the slideout platform - interior side. Obviously I likely found the problem and will endeavor to solve same. My only question is "Has anyone else found this problem as well? I will be calling Northwood tomorrow and seek their help/advice. Meanwhile Thanks for reading and happy trails.Best way to travel the Pacific CoastGood morning everyone, The DW asked me to start planning a trip to see the Pacific Coast (CA, OR, Wash). My simple question to start is " Is it best to travel north-south or south-north to do so? My plan would be a fall trip allowing at least a month to do so. Thanks in advance for any advice/comments. Happy TrailsRe: Is Lance the “gold” standardI see value in several of the product lines recommended but personally having owned Northwood and NUWA products (among others: Coachman, Holiday Rambler,et.al) -I would rate Arctic Fox and Nash a cut above in several ways. But then again, select the trailer that BEST fits your needs, budget and makes DW happy). Happy TrailsNash 18FMHello all, Seriously looking at the Nash 18FM as my next RV, down sizing from a NUWA 5th wheel. I would appreciate ANY comments on good and bad of this model from 18FM owners. I previously owned an AF 1140 TC, before the NUWA so understand and respect the quality of Northwood products. I thank you in advance....happy trails.Review on the new 7.3 Ford V*Interested in the latest comments/reviews from owners of the new Ford 7.3 V8 gas engine.the new ford 7.3 V8It has only been a short time BUT what are owners saying?
