You should also check the power line coming into the Load Center that should be under the bathroom sink. Open up the 110 side and you should see the 10-2 Romex coming in from the power cord and the 10-2 Romex generator power cord. If they are not marked inside the box, remove the four corner screws and the complete box can be pulled partway out of the sink cabinet and check the 110 wires going into the box for markings. Check to see if you are getting power from the generator also check to see if you are getting a good connection on your generator wires. I had a bad connection on a 110 wire that had to occur after 2 years of driving down the road. Good luck and let us know how it worked out. [/quote wrote: Paul - I pulled the electrical panel from under the sink and took a look at the automatic transfer switch attached to its back. I decided that there was not enough slack in allthe electrical cabling, I had no idea what I was doing electrically and that it was too hot in the coach without the A/C (shore power was disconnected) for me to continue further. I know my limitations, both electrical and comfortwise. I started the genset and low and behold, I've got 120V power throughout the coach. Maybe I'm more skilled than I think I am. I know that I'll probably have the same problem again but I'm going to wait until I can get some assistance in making the proper tests and /or repairs. Thanks for your help! Jim Asheville, NC Re: looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace ArrowsMy '04 Pace Arrow 37C runs electrically on shore power but I get no power from my generator. The circuit breakers on the genset are not tripped. This situation has occurred intermittently for the past three days. I'm thinking my automatic transfer switch is not functioning properly. I will check it tomorrow for power from the genset into the switch and then see if I have power coming out of it. Is there anything that can be done to a malfunctioning switch to repair it or is it replace only? Anyone know where it is located on my coach? Thanks! Jim Asheville, NCRe: looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace ArrowsSaber and Fyr guy - I've had DirecTivo (as it was originally called) for over three years. I agree with Fy4 guy that the phone is not needed for programming updates, but it is needed for Software updates. Once every three months or so I hook mine to a land line and let it dial in, mainly to remove the "your unit hasn't called in" message. About once a year or so it also does a software upgrade during the phone call that I forced. Don't forget to remove the DVR if you winterize your unit. I learned the hard way that the hard drive doesn't like freezing temps! Jim 2004 Pace Arrow 37C Workhorse Slate (with a gray decal that has changed colors and become mottled!)Re: looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace ArrowsHere in the mountains of Western North Carolina the temps the past two nights have been around 14-15 degrees. I'm not ready to winterize yet as we have a couple more trips planned. My '04 37C is parked in the driveway at my home connected to 30 amp power. I've got both furnaces running with the thermostat set at about 62 degrees. The hot water heater is running on electric. I have 75 watt light bulbs on in the following compartments: - the outside refrigerator compartment - the first curbside compartment where the pump and fresh water tank is - the second from the rear curbside compartment that holds the water heater and the related exposed plumbing - the streetside water works compartment - the streetside holding tank outlet compartment I have this feeling that I still don't have all my bases covered! Can you think of any thing else I should have done? It would have been nice for Fleetwood (and others) to spend an extra $25/unit to install inexpensive 120 volt compartment light fixtures controlled by a master switch inside the MH to eliminate this maze of extension cords, clamp type lamps, etc. that I have to set up everytime it gets below freezing! Fleetwood customer service told me that their stance is that they don't recommend using the Pace Arrow in sub-freezing temperatures. Give me a break! Jim Asheville, NCRe: looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace ArrowsI have an '04 Pace Arrow that is now 29 months old. Color is Slate. The lighter colored of the two gray decals on the exterior color scheme has begun to discolor. It's hard to describe but the gray is now "mottled" with the appearance of something similar to what dried water stains would look like. The darker gray and the black decals are unaffected. Separately, we now notice that the interior lambrequin material has faded substantially on some pieces but not on others. There is no rhyme or reason to which pieces fade. Exposure to UV is not a factor as shades are almost always down and two pieces side by side can be terribly faded or not faded at all. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Any luck with Fleetwood addressing the problem outside of the warranty period? Thanks! Jim Asheville, NCRe: looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace ArrowsBird Freak - Ditto what Paul just said. Please give us step by step detailed instructions. In my case I'm mostly interested in playing the DirecTivo throught the surround sound system. Thanks in advance! Jim B 2004 Pace Arrow 37CRe: looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace ArrowsHas anyone figured out a way to get the TV to play through the surround sound system? DVD's are no problem but satellite and over the air is a mystery. Maybe the capability is not there? Jim B 2004 Pace Arrow 37CRe: looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace ArrowsGot the door strut thing figured out. Just used the existing rods and raised the lower attachment point about two inches. Thanks for everone's help! The lower hold point will need to be moved, but other than that, no modification was required. Exactly what were the longer rods and who did you order them from? How much lower is the new lower hold point compared to the original lower hold point? My compartment doors will hit the slideout if they go above 90 degrees so I'll have to notch them about 1/8 inch to allow them to clear. That's just poor engineering! My previous Newmar Dutch Star pusher had two stage struts for the doors that were under the slideouts. Normal operation allowed the doors to only open to 90 degrees when the slide was out. When the slide was in the door could be opened fully by slipping the rod attachment point up. Jim B '04 Pace Arrow 37CRe: looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace ArrowsQUOTE: on another subject,on my pa 37c,05 I have fixed the storage doors so they will open up and I do not have to bend over to get into them. The doors are the one by the interance door next to the slide and the plumbing or cable storge door. After asking the dealer why the doors did not open up for easy excess, his answer was they would hit the slide out, ( and they do not ) he would not do the repair. I do not know about the rest of you but I would like Fleetwood to look at all doors and open them right to left not bottom to top. jablett - Tell us in detail how you did the fix on the doors. I've considered doing it many times. Mine will hit the slides but I'm willing to put a 1/8 inch notch in each of the two compartment doors to allow them to raise up out of the way.
