And the Zydeco Breakfast in Breaux Bridge is not to be missed!Re: Camping in the Dunedin/Tampa FL areaWe enjoyed the Dunedin RV Resort. Convenient to the bike trail (which we loved). Also an easy drive to St Pete's or to Honeymoon Island (for the beach) and Tarpon Springs just north (worth a visit)(great Greek food). I find you do have to reserve early for the winter months in FLA. Need to have a 2nd, 3rd, 4th choice in case they are full.coach batteries went deadI had to put my RV in storage in June. Today I went to check on it and the engine battery is fine, but the coach batteries are dead. If I hook up to shore power will the batteries maybe recharge or are they ruined? They're only 2 years old.Re: April 2016 - Port Townsend or Port Angeles, WAThe Salt Creek WA Campground in Port Angeles was one of my favorite CGs ever! The view of the straights is awesome - you look across toward Canada - freighters and boats of every size glide below you. It's a county park CG. The reservation system was strange though. You have to make reservations by mail, so you really have to plan in advance. I had to walk to the top of the hill to get Verizon reception. It was worth it. Close by is Olympic NP.Need reservations for winter stay in Tucson?Do I need reservations to "snowbird" in Tucson area next winter?? We have wintered on the Gulf Coast the last several years and find the good CG's seem to stay full through the winter. Is Tucson the same? Hate to tie myself down with reservations if I don't have to?Re: Tippecanoe State park, IndianaThanks for the report. We'll put that on our go list. We love OBannon also, but our favorite IN SP so far is Turkey Run.Re: Ft Desoto Restaurant RecommendationsWe enjoyed The Seahorse in Pass-A-Grille FL (15 to 20 minutes away)(it's an old FLA resort town and fun to walk around). Also, in Gulfport FL, O'Maddy's (a bit closer) is right on the waterfront. A popular place - good food and fun to sit outside if the weather's good. Have fun. We loved that campground! Can I use household caulk around RV windows?I know you need a special caulk on many RV roofs, but I have to replace a window on the side of my Class C. Got the replacement window from the manufacturer, and I happen to have several tubes of household caulk (silicon base). Can I use them to do the job or do I need to get special RV caulk? Seems like everything that says RV on it costs twice as much as the regular stuff. Anyone with good advice on this??Re: nice campground near Marion or Fairmount Indiana? It's closer to Indy than Ft Wayne: http://www.riverbendcamp.net/ Right on the White River (north of Noblesville). The river is pretty - good sites. Convenient for driving into Indy/Carmel/Connor Prairie. This is a nice CG.
