It's a Blue Sky controller, this one I think: Solar Controller Looking at the roof there is only one small panel and it's usually running somewhere around 3.5 wattsNewmar Canyon Star 3610 Solar - adding to factory systemHi there! We have a Newmar 3610 that came from Newmar with a 30A solar controller and a small 5W panel. I'm wondering how much solar I can add to this system without changing wire or controller, and if the forum has a recommendation on which panels and where to buy?Re: 2015 RAM 3500 VS 2015 GM 3500? transferred wrote: Cummins12V98 wrote: The comment about the 3500 with Aisin constantly "HUNTING" and 3.42's not being good gearing. If the truck is placed in TowHaul it won't hunt. Aisin makes the 3.42's work within it's GVWR because of the lower starting gears. When towing lock the trans in 5th it will be exactly the same RPM's as if it were in 6th with 4.10's. Bonus is better economy running solo with 3.42's. I towed 28-29K combined with 3,42's and only negative was starting on a grade. That would have been cured if I had the Aisin instead of 68RFE. This post is spot on. I have 342s in my 2016 in sig and it pulls v strong, I've towed at 24k GCWR across three states and on job sites have gotten trailer with a small-medium 'dozer on it moving with no issue. I understand I could lock out 6th and stop the hunting. My point in comparing the two is that I don't need to with the Ally. It's perfectly comfortable towing in 6th and rarely drops in to 5th. 3.73 gears with the Aisin would likely produce comparable results, but Ram only offers 3.42 with SRW trucksRe: 2015 RAM 3500 VS 2015 GM 3500?So I just went the other direction, traded a 13 ram 3500 for a new Denali 3500 I miss the push to start feature and agree the interior is very sharp on the ram. I loved the look of the leather wrapped dash. What I don't miss is the 3.42 gears, the Aisin was always hunting. Also imo the ram ride quality is inferior to both ford and gm. Over expansion joints my ram felt like it was punching me in the kidneys.Re: Fifth wheel towing with an older truck jimmyfred wrote: ...........DONOT allow anyone to Flush the Allison ! And use Allison Transynd fluid rather than Mercon 6 ! , jf I've been told the same thing on all autos, by multiple mechanics. Basically, flushing stirs up any sediment in the pan, and then uses high pressure to force it through the system. Net effect is the little shavings in the pan from normal use get blasted through the rubber seals, causing premature failure.Re: Help Identifying HitchCalled them, they verified the heads are all the same, it's the bars that determine the weight cap. But, no way to identify the weight cap without a label or stamp. So, I can probably just buy the heavier bars and be good to go I'm thinking...Re: Help Identifying HitchThanks for the response. My thinking is the same as yours- just different bars. Maybe I can call themRe: Help Identifying HitchThanks. How do you tell which weight rating the hitch is? All of theirs look the sameHelp Identifying HitchI've looked all over this hitch and I can't find any markings whatsoever. I think it's a Pro Series but not sure. Can anyone help identify this hitch and tell me what the tongue/Gross ratings are: Re: Any input on Gulfstream Wide Open Trailers?I appreciate the response. I'm guessing this line must be fairly new and not many of them out there... That said I can buy this one new cheaper than a used 2011 or newer trailer which is what I've been looking for. I'm inclined to go ahead and do it. My thinking is they're all made from the same components anyhow. Not too sure how much difference the mfg makes- so why not grab a good deal...
