Hwy 101 & Astoria-Megler Bridge
We are hoping to travel Hwy 101 from Crescent City CA to Astoria OR around March 20th and then through WA to Sequim . Is the Astoria bridge usually passable at this time? Would you continue from Astoria on 101 and travel around the top of Olympic Natl Park, or take the inside loop up from Olympia? Any and all suggestions welcome! New to RV.NET, this is my 2nd post. We were planning a trip to Point Reyes in March for whale watching. We will be entering CA on I-10 coming from Phoenix. Wondering what is the must see section of Hwy 1. We intend to go all the way to Crescent City (not all on Hwy 1). Also looking for any rv park recommendations along the route. The Petaluma KOA I was leaning toward has a few bad reviews. We will be traveling in a 24 ft. Class C towing a car on a tow dolly. After reading some of the posts on this forum, maybe we should wait until April?
