Can you all recommend a light set of blocks for this amount of weight?Re: Grey and Black Water Dumping - Back End Sits HigherthanksGrey and Black Water Dumping - Back End Sits HigherHi, My truck camper sits a bit higher in the rear. Truck doesn't squat to level loaded with camper. Will this be a problem for dumping waste water? If so, might need to remove my helper/supersprings.Re: Tire Pressure QThanks for all the info. What I learned here: It may be better to fill my cold rear tires to max pressure of 80 PSI regardless of the door sticker. Being over max pressure of 80 PSI while hot/driving is fine My tires are not overheating at 5-8 psi over and even much higher pressure is still ok as long as I did not fill over the max psi while cold. Some people recommend I get a degree in Tireology.Tire Pressure QHi All, I'm new to all this truck camper stuff. I recently went out on the road and had my tires filled to Ford/tire requirments cold (75 rear, 60 (front). All said and good, right? However, on the road my tires got up over the max pressure of 80psi, like 81-82. Is this normal or should I set cold temp lower? I'm using Wildpeal A/T3W tires LT275/70R18. Any advice would be appreciated. TIARe: Truck Leaning 1" - Super Springs Grit dog wrote: ^ If it leans even more when loaded, then the camper is heavier on one side (obviously). However this isn't necessarily a problem. Bags can certainly correct that. But I've learned that unless there's an actual problem, sometimes its "just fine" even though it aint perfect! That's what Ford says. LOL I think it is their new motto.Re: Truck Leaning 1" - Super Springs Grit dog wrote: ^ So it's the truck, not the camper.... FWIW, this is probably just the first time you've noticed, but a great % of vehicles don't sit just perfect. Trucks and cars, new and old. Finding something else to hone in on will help if its bothering you. LOL Good advice. Thanks. Yeah, I'm just gonna gonna say it is what it is right now and maybe down the line add some airbags. because tightening the pretension on the spring did not help with the lean when loaded.Re: Truck Leaning 1" - Super Springs TCCamperNoob wrote: jimh425 wrote: Again, they shouldn’t affect the unloaded ride. From the GeneralSprings website. https://www.generalspringkc.com/blog/supersprings-and-towing-what-you-need-to-know/ “The SuperSprings unit attaches to the existing leaf springs in such a way that they will not engage unless the leaf spring reaches its load capacity. When the leaf springs stretch to their limit, the SuperSprings activate to accommodate the additional load to balance out the backend and deliver smooth handling performance.” Cool thanks. I'll move the left side from mid to heavy, one step up. I'll see how it goes. I got my driver's side set to the highest setting now. The truck now sits level unloaded, just a tiny fraction of an inch higher than the other side now. That basically pulled it up 3/4 - 1" higher and levelled it out nicely. Don't know how the camper will sit yet. Hopefully it does the same with the load and levels it out. Will know once all this rain stops.Re: Can't overcome the fear of buying a Truck and TC....... rexlion wrote: I know what you mean. I'd like to buy my retirement trailer, but on the inside I keep hearing, "Wait a couple more years." I feel like something's going to happen that would cause me to regret buying it now. I try to listen to that little voice inside me; it tends to be right. It took me a total of 3 years to finally get the TC. I got the truck for it 3 years ago and I got the camper just a week ago. Take your time find what is right for you. I even contemplated just going with a travel trailer but just when my hopes for finding a good used truck camper were about shot, I found my dream TC and I love it. Is t perfect? No. Is it fun as heck, yes. Will it become another headache like a boat etc, of course. I saw a post by someone on here dealing with a similar topic, and a guy said: "just get it with no regrets. Something is always going to go wrong but if it does you are a camper owner. You will have a camper and you can fix it, get it fixed or whatever. It's better than not having one if you really want it." Anyway, I'm late to the thread. But hope you decide to get something soon than later. We only had it a week and took it out this weekend. It was a blast! I never thought I'd love cooking outside in bagillion degree FL humidity with open fire as much as I did this weekend. Best steaks I ever had. It got me back out on the paddle board too!
