I also cannot get the resovour cap off its metal and ive twisted and twisted and pushed while twisting and it will not come off just keeps turning.Re: location of valves on hwh kickdown jacksok thanks. ill look into ordinering one.Re: location of valves on hwh kickdown jacksjust went out and looked. the jack retracted on it own and is now only sticking out about an inch. before it was almost fully extended. so not sure what is going on with it. last weekend at the campground when it wouldn't retract the jacks kicked up like normal but this jack kicked up and rested on a frame support since it was fully extended. now its retracted all but that last inch and has went back flush to the bottom like the rest of the jacks. so im at a loss now.Re: location of valves on hwh kickdown jacksok thanks. ill take a closer look.location of valves on hwh kickdown jackshello everyone. I have a 2000 Damon Challenger 330. it has the hwh joystick 210 series leveling system on it. my left rear jack will not retract. it kicks back up when the rest of them do but it will not retract. I have looked in the owners manual and it said to open the valve for it and then pry up the cylinder. I have looked everywhere under the coach and can't seem to find the valve. I think I found the hydraulic fluid reservoir under the coach dead center of the frame but I can't find the valves. the manual also said that the valves are easy to access. has anyone else had this issue and can tell me where the valves and reservoir are located. any help would be great.Re: truck overloaded?yeah we never camp far from home anyway. about the furthest we go is about an hour from home. and once you get on a straight stretch of road it is fine it is just when you are going up and down the hills that I will have to go down to 3rd gear. also just realized that the 14303 was with the factory installed generator that someone took out before we got it so the real weight is around 14000lbs. thanks am going to get it weighed this weekend.Re: truck overloaded?ok thanks. it is going to the scales on friday on the way to the dealer for warranty repair. when hooked up it squats down 2" and just comes to rest on the overload springs. both the front and rear axle add up to 11800lbs when you add them togegher.truck overloaded?I have a 1995 Ford F-350 crew cab DRW with the 7.3 powerstroke. it is two wheel drive with the 4:10 rear axle. on all my previous campers I have never had any issues with squating. we recently purchased a larger fifth wheel (1998 Carriage Carri-Lite 34RL) that has a wet weight of 14303. when we hook up, my truck will squat about 2". I can't find the pin weight but I found an equation that puts the pin weight at about 4000lbs. to me that seems a little high. do you think that the truck is overloaded. when I last weighed the truck it weighed right around 7000lbs. thanks.center awning rafter won't stay on.our 1998 carrie lite has a 22 foot awning along with the center rafter support. the problem lies with that center rafter. every time I use it I get it secured on the awning tube but as soon as I raise the awning the top of the rafter will fall out of the holder on the camper. I have to use a ladder and hammer the rafter back into the support. any ideas on how I can get it to stay put. the dealer said to squeeze the channel with the rafter in to make it stay and that lasted for a few trips but now it is back to falling out.
