Also treat every drop of gas that goes into my small engines with stabil.Re: Water heater helpThat was it guys. All is up and running. Thanks to those that chimed in with help!Re: Water heater helpLooks like it's my culprit. Bottom connection for the wire is clearly burnt out. Zero continuity. New piece inbound. Thanks guys.Re: Water heater helpDonn - thanks for the reply. Is this the piece you are referring to? ClickyWater heater helpHey guys. On a recent trip the electric side of our water heater conked out on us. I assumed the element gave up, so I ordered and installed a new one. To no avail. So I dug deeper. This ismamsuburban sw6de 1 - yes, I checked the breaker. 2 - no voltage at the electric element 3 - I did have voltage at the line to the water heater as checked at one of keystone push connectors near the WH. 4 - I checked the switch for continuity and it checked out... Only thing I'm not sure on is the thermal overload buttons. I pushed them - pretty firmly - and had no indication that one was popped or reset. 12v (gas) works perfectly Your thoughts? I admit I'm a couple credits shy of my electricians license...but I think I checked everything correctly.Re: Tonneau CoversI've had several of the roll up style through the years, last 4 have been Truxedo lo-pros. By far my favorite. Good quality, never had a problem.Re: Annual Spring PurchaseSo far I've just swapped out the guts of my Webber Q (burner tube and regulator assembly). I'm eyeballing some sort of converter upgrade this summer since we bout a seasonal spot. The hell-cheapo on the rig now will run that battery dry in short order if I don't put a better unit in there.Re: Seeking an assist - directvHa.... Well, there you go. I guess it's a simple explanation at least! Big Katuna....I agree on dish vs direct. A couple camping friends have direct and it seems a constant struggle for them. Appreciate the guidance guys.Seeking an assist - directvAll...thanks in advance for stepping in. My folks just picked up a new Motorhome and at the same time signed up for directv service. My old man, who is normally very handy, meets his match when it comes to electronics. I'm trying to help him get things going....but I don't have direct (dish here) and thus I'm kind of useless regarding direct tv settings. What I know...the rig came with a winegard road trip in-motion antenna. The receiver is an H-24 He is getting his standard definition channels. But zero HD programs coming through. He mentions he's seeing "error found in tuner 1" message in his setup screen. To my ears it sounds like he's not picking up the needed satellite for HD programs. Wondering if any direct users here can offer up the proper details or steps so that I can relay to him what he needs to do.Re: all these new truck postings.....Love it...the 8.1 is a beast
