All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsSlide Room StuckTried to get underway for a long trip and could not get my slide room in, after a few hours it finally moved in to lock. I have a 2004 tagalong Trail Lite by R-Vision, 30 feet with 1 slide. On my other RV's there was always an emergency crank in gear with a special wrench similar to the stabilizer crank down wrench. I have some special wrenches with this model; however, I do not see an access point. The 6 way power switch is working and there is power to the motor and the motor worked to bring it in but I do not want to attempt fate until I get to my destination. Finally if the motor is the culprit I don't a reasonable access point. I can only access the 2 bottom screws that mount the motor to the gears. This slide operates on a single screw. Did not like the hydraulic slides but at leas you could relieve pressure and push it in, my favorite was an air slide. This has me confused. I am a Retired US Navy Engineering Officer, Graduated RV Repair School in the mid 90's and have full timed for 30 of the last 33 years. There is a slight box like in the outside wall of the dinette and it appears that it is right over the motor but it doesn't budge and I am reluctant to tear it out. Any help appreciated. Sincerely, Big AlJack knive sofaHas anyone replaced the very uncomfortable sofa with a dual reclining love seat. I know the space is restricted but it seems to me that a 58" sofa would work.Re: Dilemma !Thank you all. My Jayco says 28 but is actually 33'. Companies used to stretch their info on weight etc. until they went with the standard label they use on the lower front of the drivers side. Hopefully they'll start with length, i.e. don't call it a 28 or 29.5 in the model number if the length is different. Maybe I am missing something here but they call it a RL28TS and sure enough it's a rear living room and triple slide:)Re: Dilemma !Thought about getting a bunk house model and using the lower bunk and repiping.Dilemma !Is it possible to find a 5th wheel with washer/dryer hookups under 33'? I have a 2004 Jayco RL28 triple slide but am looking for a shorter 5th wheel for more traveling. Saw a 28' Cardinal years ago with washer/dryer hookups but wasn't sure if that washer a factory install. Been full timing for 30 of the last 33 years. Three years in an apartment with less floor space than our 5th wheel :)Dilemma !Is it possible to find washer dryer hookups in a 5th wheel under 33'? I have a 33' 5th wheel Jayco 2004 28 RL3SL but am looking for a newer one that's about 29-31' and everything I see is 35' plus. I saw a 28' Cardinal years ago with washer/dryer hookups but unsure whether it was factory or modified.washer dryer hookupsHas anyone ever converted a bunk house model 5th wheel to washer dryer hookups? Seems to me if there is a rear bath or plumbing you could remove a bottom bunk and install a low profile washer dryer and run new lines across from the bath. I want to stay under 30' in a fifth wheel and I can't find anything under 33' that has washer dryer hookups. ThanksRe: Roof Vents path1 wrote: Only 2 screw hole for leaks! If it stays put good idea. (Just my opinion)I have a TPO roof. I would sure re-think TPO if it were me. Everytime you do something on the roof you have to make sure the right stuff is used. I use the 2 part especially made for TPO from Dicor. Dicor also came out (with in last year) with something on the front of tube that says "safe for TPO*" then look on the back the asterisk really means, which is "safe for MOST TPO roofs" How do you know your roof is one of ones that "most" it will work? I guess wait till you get a leak? Maybe too late by then. Again just my opinion, trying to save you a hassle I go thru. Well it was 4 screws but I see your point. I was attracted to TPO because of no black streaks and I am planning on using a Firestone TPO and their adhesive. The adhesive is like an epoxy whereas every edpm roof I've installed uses a waterbase glue. I know TPO does wick water if it's not sealed properly so I'll seal top and bottom of all screw rails. Do they allow 303 to be used on TPO according to your instructions? I am hoping that the way I install the roof membrane will be better than the factory install. I have seen some poor work in the last 30 years especially in areas like the roof and underneath. Does DICOR allow Murphy's Oil Soap? I have used a bunch of products on rubber roofs and they never do what they promise. Thank you for your comeback.Roof VentsChanging roof to TPO on my R-Vision 2004 trailer and I discovered that the only screws holding down the roof vents were the ones holding the MaxxAir covers. I have never seen this in almost 30 years of full timing and RV School. They don't even have pre drilled holes. It was held on with the butyl tape and nothing else, is this a new style? Thanks, Big AlRe: trailler weightThanks Larry. We'll keep our truck for our 33' Jayco triple slide fifth wheel which we pretty much use for a home base and travel with the R-Vision. Hope to convert the Transit to a modified Class B for short days and use it for my expedited freight business at other times.
