You don't have to put it on the trailer but I was forced to buy one for my Jet Ski trailer. When I go through the toll, it reads my car tag then sees the Jet Ski and since its added to my account they bill for that too.Forty Foot GasserWe are looking at buying a Class-A in a few months and like the Forest River Georgetown 36k7. Its a 40'1" long gas coach. Some are built on the old chassis with a V-10 and some are on the new chassis with a V-8. That seems like a long coach for a gas model. Anyone have experience with a forty foot gasser? Since they have been built on both the old and new chassis, should I buy one over the other?TV wiringA friend has a 2011 Keystone Cougar that he is living in full time. The RV is wired for two TV's. The living room has the booster/12vdc plug and next to that is another wall plate with two coax plugs with a short jumper connecting the two. Does anyone know what that jumper is used for?Re: 1987 Grand Villa propane problemThanks for the replies, I'll let my buddy know. I don't have any pictures of his rig, I don't have one to compare to but for thirty years old I don't think it was in bad shape. Front water tank has been leaking for a while and has a soft spot in the floor about a foot square. Runs great. I have always wanted one to gut and convert it to a day use/tail gate rig1987 Grand Villa propane problemA buddy of mine just bought a 1987 Grand Villa. This is his first RV so he asked if I could help him go over a few things. The coach has a propane generator and that runs fine but all the other propane appliances will not work on propane (fridge, hot water, furnace). Looking at the tank, there are two regulators, one large one for the genny and a smaller one for all other appliances. The smaller one has a solenoid right on the regulator and we assume its not opening. What has to be satisfied in order to open that solenoid?New Orleans AreaWe want to stay about four nights in New Orleans. We plan to make a day trip to Biloxi but spend most of out time in New Orleans. Can anyone suggest a nice RV park in the area. Thanks, WesRe: Cold weather storage tank operationI basically did what GordonThree said, I lived in my fifth wheel in Michigan with -20 degree nights one winter. I wrapped all the exposed pipes with heat trace tape. Because of the extreme temperatures I did insulate the underside of the trailer but in milder weather I'm betting the heat tape is all you would need.Re: South Texas. The KOA on the island is niceRe: ac freezing upOn my 2008 fifthwheel, I had the same problem with my Dometic AC. Had it worked on by two different dealers several times. The freeze sensor was fine but the third dealer I took it to told me there was a known issue with the electronics controlling the AC. They replaced the circuit board with what he told me was new revision. Once installed it worked perfectly.Re: Question for Rockwood ownersI have the same issue. What did you figure out?
