the plastic caps are to insulate the wires from touching any bare metal in the dash. the parking brake wire should connect to the switch on the parking brake so the driver cannot watch video when the vehicle is moving. the wifi and bluetooth wires are antennas just as they are. this picture on the amazon page shows the wiring it will also be in the instruction manual wiring diagram611Views0likes0CommentsRe: adding on/off toggle switch
never put a switch on the ground wire on automotive audio video equipment as you can damage the system by it seeking a ground path through its auxiliary output or input rca connectors or other equipment connected to it. already happened to me by connecting the +12v power wire before the ground wire when i had already connected the rca output cables to downstream components that caused a surface mount audio ground fuse to blow by trying to power the head unit through it. the head unit then had no audio ground and had to be repaired to work right again.3.8KViews0likes0CommentsRe: 2004 Viking 1706LS popup camper, uneven roof lift (HELP!)
if you read the posts here it may help you identify the system you have it does not look like there is much adjustment in these systems there held up with springs pulled with cables the springs could weaken over time I think '05 was the last year where Viking used the IDT lift system1.6KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Flexible solar controller cables?
you could use a terminal strip next to the solar controller to connect thicker cables from the battery and then a shorter pieces of thinner wire from the terminal strip to the controller that fit its terminals. doing so will keep the voltage drop to the batteries to a minimum it depends on how far your batteries are from the solar controller.517Views0likes0Comments
