I must admit the 2015 Chevy Silverado has some great features rides smooth, quiet and pulls my fifth wheel a if it wasn't there. Both are great trucks for pulling. no regrets.Duel ExhaustGrandson wants to install duel exhaust on his 08 GMC Sierra 5.3L engine. Any drawbacks to this or is there an upside. I've heard both. With the valve overlap and less back pressure you lose low end torque and MPGS on the other side sounds good and increase in MPGs 2 to 3. What's everyone's opinion?Re: I've made a mistake I thinkThank you all for your suggestions. I really appreciate the quick responses. BTW the water is not well water.I've made a mistake I thinkWe have acreage in no where Wyoming so we haul our water in. its been 3 weeks since we visited our 5th wheel and the water stunk, a diaper pale smelled better, My screw up might be two fold; 1. I generally ad a 1/8 cup of Clorox to my two 55 gallon barrels; next I have not changed the Ionized rod in the water heater. I intend to flush with regular tap water and change the rod. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.Re: I'm leaving DodgeAfter test driving the big three, all great trucks and what a difference 6 years makes. I went with the Chev, the decision was hard and the key was the Chev is a smoother ride, even the DW noticed the difference. If I was to make a second choice it would of been Dodge very quite a little stiff, Ford was a great ride but the noise level was just a little irritating until you reached a constant speed and stiff. I'm happy with the decision. yahoooooo!Re: I'm leaving Dodge RCMAN46 wrote: donn0128 wrote: No! Dont tell me your running away from your Ram? Blasphemy! Personally I think you will end up regretting such a decision. 20% more moving parts, higher RPM moving the load down the road that is all on top of such a genearic looking package You need to look at the horsepower curves for the 2014 Duramax and the 2014 6.7 Cummins. They are very close and the Duramax torque curve is flatter than the Cummins. Both have very close in horsepower numbers at rpms less than 2500. Donno and I are good friends he's just giving me a hard time.Re: I'm leaving Dodge donn0128 wrote: No! Dont tell me your running away from your Ram? Blasphemy! There is nothing wrong with my Dodge its been a great vehicle. I just can't resist the temptation of new toys.I'm leaving DodgeI must be having mid-life crisis, but I saw a 201X Chevrolet 1 ton dually Diesel and I plan on investigating further on the specs and options. What opinion do you all have on comfort, towing capacity, MPGS and reliability. All I need now is the gorgeous young gal, but my lotus blossom said that is not an option. thank youRe: Diesel vs gas...................... rhagfo wrote: rvert10 wrote: According to the tow chart the 550&V10 should pull up to 17,300k Yep, with 4.88 gears, maybe it is gallons per mile at that ratio, not miles per gallon. your statement kind of reminds of a military vehicle I road in...once then it was on foot or Jeep.
