You need to look at the horsepower curves for the 2014 Duramax and the 2014 6.7 Cummins.
They are very close and the Duramax torque curve is flatter than the Cummins.
Both have very close in horsepower numbers at rpms less than 2500.
Donno and I are good friends he's just giving me a hard time.
