We spent 6 nights on it over the 4th of July. It's a dramatic improvement. So far it's proved to be a good purchase but I can't speak to how long it will last. It arrived compressed and rolled up in a box, hardest part was getting to old saw dust filled mattress out.Re: Slide Issue-Damaged FloorOurs is a schwintech (sp?) slide system so there are no manual adjustment points like mentioned. not sure the style slide you have but here's my story. The genius at the factory that installed the dinette in our slide used screws that were a 1/2" to 3/4" too long. So we had 3 or 4 spots that gouged our flooring badly as the slide moved in/out. Our dealer replaced the flooring to our liking 3 years ago and we haven't had any problems with it. The new flooring was not an exact match though. The fake wood floor in our storage compartments doesn't match the fake wood throughout the main interior. But it doesn't bother me and most people probably would not notice without me pointing it out. If that's a sticking point for you make them replace the floor everywhere.New tires, up-sizing and load range?Question on new tires, checking around I can up size my OEM tires from a 275/55 to a 275/60 on the 20" stock rim without rubbing/re-gearing issues. Which moves me from the stock load range of 111 to a load range of 114-117 depending on the tire. I have been happy with the towing performance of the stock tires. But I figure if I have to replace them why not go for more load range and fill the wheel wells better. I guess the main question I have is will moving from a 111 load range into the 114-117 load range give me a stiffer more stable side wall? and would it be more comparable to a LT C or D range tire? I only tow about 1200 miles a year in short increments from 50 to 300 miles per trip. So I'm looking for more of a all-season/Terrain tire more so than a towing duty tire. Probably looking at a Michelin LTX or something comparable. Thanks for your inputRe: Chatfield State Park (Colorado) in early OctoberI tried to get my reservation for Cheyenne Mountain switched over to Cherry Creek (the other state park in Denver) for that weekend since we need to be in Denver. Cherry Creek was already booked full that weekend, so if weather is nice your Saturday arrival at Chatfield might be an issue. Park might fill up Friday night. Definitely call first.Re: electric awning Retired Alex wrote: There are 2 types of electric awnings. One type just extends and has an automatic dumping feature that allows one end of the awning to collapse when there is a rain water build up on the awning. The problem with this type is that you never know which end of the awning is going to drop and allow the water to run off. Many of my friends, with this type, have been soaked when the awning dumps. Also you cannot adjust the height of this awning to compensate for the sun's angle, it just extends straight out. My preference is the Dometic 9100 electric awning. There are two adjustable arms on it that permit you to slope the awning so rain water drains off the end you choose. Also these arms allow you a 24 inch adjustment on the height of the awning so when the sun is low you can lower the awning to get more shade. The Dometic is available from Camping World for $982. X2, have had both of these and the manual one. The dometic provides almost as much adjustment as the manual one we had. I hated the carefree power awning it was useless so we hardly so used itRe: Jayco or KZHad both a KZ spree and a Jayco Jay feather. Both had a 2 year warranty, wouldn't steer you away from either since both were relatively good quality. In our case the we had less issues from the KZ. And the KZ dealer service was far superior in our area.Re: hotwater tank pops loudlySince its brand new my guess you have some blockage between the gas flow and the igniter. I had a similar issue where the unit was shipped with an extra little mounting bracket loose in chamber. That little bracket lodged between the gas feed and the spark igniter. When enough gas build up and hit the igniter and the mini explosion occurred. My POS dealer never found it. I decided to take it apart and it was right there plain as day. Could be nests or something else but that's where I would start. If there is no blockage it's a fault valve or regulator.Re: Fuzion 301you'd probably get a better responce posting in the toy hauler forumRe: Need new tires ALREADY!Lippert covered the cost on mine, cruiser will tell you they are not under rated. Technically true, they are not under rated. Look under any Cruiser RV product (or other lightweight brand FWIW) 6500-7800# GVWR, you'll probably see dual 3500# axles. Those other models/brands don't have the widespread issues as the Shadow Cruiser. There was some defect with these, I've been told its bad tires, bad steel, improper initial camber or some combination thereof. I feared the new axles might be to HD for the application and start wearing on the outside. I have just over 800 miles on mine since the swap out. So far (knock on wood) no measurable wear.Re: Need new tires ALREADY! Caryite wrote: I've seen it mentioned to consider upgrading to Maxxis. Is this the one most are using/recommending? ST215/75/14 D rating (1870 lbs @ 50 psi) What is the new model of the replacement axles being used and what size is found there? Is it another Lippert replacement? Wish you the best, seems like several more are joining this club every week. My 3500# axles were replaced with 5200# made by Lippert. I can tell you they look like tree trucks compared to the 3500# twigs. I used load C tires in the stock size, I didn't know if the upsize would work on the stock rim/clearance. Most of my travels are within 200 miles or less and load C still left me some room so I felt confortable. If I did long distance traveling I probably would have tried the up size.
