All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Fuel stops on Hwy 64 NCWell, I said I was getting a break. I was mistaken. I was so busy dealing with the LeSharo I really didn't pay attention to potential stops. !%#*&!. I think I may just drive my dependable chevy and stay at a few motels. Ocean front rooms are very affordable in January and FebruaryRe: My 1st Class AI say overhaul the water heater but basically it entailed replacing parts in a semi-logical order until the problem resolved itself.lol. The water heater stopped working and I replaced the main burner assy, the spark probe, E.C.O. and TSAT. At that point, it was either the main control board or the gas valve. It turned out to be the gas valve. I created a post about the process, use atwood g6a-6e in the search box and you will get some good information from a lot of peopleRe: Fuel stops on Hwy 64 NCI'll be getting a break actually. My father has a Wiinebago LeSharo that has just gotten out of the shop and needs to be taken on a shakedown cruise. I'll be using it to map out fuel stops for my regular rig and toad. The only problem I may encounter is trying to drive the thing with a bag over my head... Thanks for the input though. Seriously DSFuel stops on Hwy 64 NCI live in Gville SC and have a 28' class a gas motorhome with a geo tracker toad. I am planning a trip to the OBX (Cape Hatteras) in December and part of my trip is along hwy 64. Can anyone give me some fuel stops that are rig friendly? I have a good sam trip planner app but it doesn't help with my set-up Thank you, Dave SRe: My 1st Class AI'm just updating a bit here and there. I overhauled the water heater this month. I'm planning a quick trip to the OBX in about 2 weeks to test the toad etc.Re: Atwood G6A-6E not lighting. Possible gas valve issue?Success! It was the gas valve. I ordered a new valve yesterday from Makarios RV and (no lie) Fedex showed up this morning. The part shipped out of Georgia. Anyways, I installed the new valve and was rewarded with a "thunk" when the valve opened and a whoosh of proper flame. I'm letting the water heat up to test temp and if water temp is around 140 degrees I'll call this task done. Thanks to everyone that posted suggestionsRe: Atwood G6A-6E not lighting. Possible gas valve issue?Brian, I checked the gas valve for continuity earlier and 1 side is bad. I think I've isolated the culprit. I'm taking a few days off from the beast and will get back on it after turkey dayRe: Atwood G6A-6E not lighting. Possible gas valve issue? The ignitor board part number is MPD 91731, obselete (of course lol). The furnace is a hydroflame but but I will check the board. The furnace will run you out of the motorhomeRe: Atwood G6A-6E not lighting. Possible gas valve issue?wa8yxm, I looked at the dino boards to replace my atwood 91731 board and that may still be an option. At this point it is replacing the board or the old type A gas valve. Both are about the same priceRe: Atwood G6A-6E not lighting. Possible gas valve issue?Agreed Old Biscuit. I'm going to to take Beast to the rv place and have them double check my work. I do agree with you though. Yes fpresto I was full of guano re: 500$ on parts. My point was simply that I didn't want to spend the same amount of denero replacing parts when I could have bought a new replacement for less. Point taken and noted. Next time I will use simile instead of wit :)
